Manufacturer's Description
eneloop is a combination of a rechargeable and a disposable battery the next evolutionary step for batteries into the 21st century. SANYO can ship the batteries to Amazon in an already charged state, without losing its power, because of it very low self-discharge. This means that you are purchasing an already charged battery.
eneloop is as user-friendly as a disposable battery. Once charged, it keeps its charge for up to 6 to 12 months - (90 per cent of the charge after 6 months, 85 per cent after 12 months)

In contrast to a disposable battery, eneloop can be charged up to 1000 times, thus eliminating the waste of 999 disposable batteries.

Using eneloop rechargeable batteries really does pay off. Considering the cost of the eneloop battery, compared to a disposable battery, plus cost for the charger and the energy consumed by the charger, the investment for one eneloop returns easily after a few charging cycles. Now there's an end to this spending.

Using these in the kids nintendo Wii remotes and Xbox 360 control pad. They seem to last about 4 times longer than the other recharagble batteries I have. Well worth the money gonna get these for everything lol. They also don't lose any charge when not being used. More info here...

dont like the way marketplace sellers come under amazon heading on posts
amazon sell these for 6.69 in retail packs
the batteries in a case were a customer image and may have been manually inserted into a case from damaged packs or large bulk packs of batteries....no way of telling
seems 'cheap' even of you get a (cheap) case.
likes of 7dayshop have their own site why do they need another advert for the same stock anyway? also cheaper to buy 2 packs from 7dayshop direct

Amazon Marketplace seller so not allowed, I would rather trust Amazon for a couple more pence.
Also I normally want delivery to Spain, Amazon will deliver and I just pay a total based on weight on multiple items, and not many Marketplace sellers will.
So I would rather people did not put Amazon as the seller when it is not.
Just my opinion ;-)

There's a new version of Eneloop out, so with a bit of luck we might see a few special offers on the original version.

The new ones have an A added to their product code: HR-3UTGA, and claim up to 1500 charge cycles, to hold 75% of their charge over three years, and to work at as low as -20 Celsius.
