Cracking deal. These are the best
kind of rechargeables as they don't
lose their charge quickly. Hot

Instore deal. Don't hold your breath.
#11
Yes NI. These were £4.99 all week like everywhere else.
Now marked at £2.00 but not managers special or anything.
They also had energizer packs of 2 rechargeables for £1.00 but eneloop charger was still £7.50.
Might be worth checking your local store whether in Ireland or not............................

Battery Isle? Is that anywhere near Isle of Man? (or maybe Isle of Bionic Man! :))

Are these good for flash guns?

Are these good for flash guns?

Yes excellent. They have slightly lower capacity than the best standard NiMH, but are better able to get the stored charge out, which is helpful in high discharge applications like flash guns. Net result is that you'll get similar use out of them to standard NiMH rechargeables.

But where they really come into their own is if you leave them idle for a few weeks/months. Because they retain their charge much better than standard NiMH, you will probably be able to use the flash immediately whereas the standard NiMHs may need a top up.

A final benefit is that these low discharge cells are typically rated for about 2x the number of recharge cycles of standard NiMH, meaning it'll be twice as long until they have to be replaced.

If you can't find the Eneloops then check out the Vapextech deal.

Picked up a couple of packs for £2 each at ASDA Rugby tonight, so they are available in a few places. Really pleased I didn't get these earlier in the week when they were at the higher price now.

They are sold out pretty much everywhere. Also worth noting that these are the OLD type Eneloops with 1000 recharge cycles and they are 2009 stock. Still good buy. Voted hot.

You are very lucky then :) Batteries that are on this thread are the OLD type. So it looks like they are selling both at this price. Mega hot!

There were a couple of packs of AAA and AA at Aberdeen beach Asda last night.

I repeat there WERE a couple of packs of each ............ :-)
#39
Cardiff Leckwith had a couple of AA 4 packs in stock at the camera section, but they were on a hanger with £4.99 on the front, so I didn't bother with them.

Doesn't mean they wouldn't have scanned at £2 though, but I didn't actually think to try.
