'Quick' charging wrecks rechargeable batteries...avoid.

This is a Sanyo charger with 550mA output, I don't think it'll cook the batteries or you could always use a slow charger.

Good price for this kit.

Eneloop batteries and those of that ilk are well suited to Quick charging.

'Quick' is a relative term and I've seen quick chargers that take 8 to 10 hours so you need to check the actual specs.
#8
The pack says it takes approx 4 hours to charge 2 AA's and 3 hours for 2 AAA's.

Does anyone know where you can purchase 15 minute battery's from? As im looking for some backup ones :)

Yeah, I’ve got some in the house somewhere! I’ll get back to you when I find them; should take me about a quarter of an hour to dig them out. ;-)

Do you mean the ones that re-charge in 15 minutes ? I have one of those and only so far only 'lost' two batteries ; mind you one did fizz a bit and the charging certainly makes the batteries very hot (the charger has a built in fan)
#12
has anyone else found this in their local store?

Yes, as pointed out this one isn't the '15 minute' variety, but I was pointing out that people may have a '15 minute charger' and put these eneloop batteries in.

Don't be fooled by high Mah of some batteries this type have different chemistry and out perform other normal high Mah rated batteries.Bit like mega pixel ratings of some cameras.
Also they can be stored for months with no noticeable drain whereas most will require charging after a week or two's non use and also seem to last longer when in use.

None in Stafford store this morning!

I'll pop into the local one this afternoon. Wasn't there last week, nobody behind counter had heard of the pack. Really want to get this.
#20
Voted hot, hopefully mine'll have some in :)

EDIT: Sadly not.
#21
None on display at my local store but they can be found locked up behind the games/camera/photo counter.
#22
none in the benton store.
#23
None in my store from all the battery displays and other counters.

Would be great if someone could purchase and send to me via FS/FT forum.

Voted hot !

Just purchased the last 2 at local ASDA in Penryn, Cornwall. SEL said £12.50 but scanned at £7.00 each.

Both handles were sealed with cable ties - when I got home and opened them one had the usual 4 x AA and 2 x AAA plus charger & accessories - whereas the other pack had 6 x AA, 2 x AAA plus charger & accessories :)

Needless to say I'm very happy. General price just for 4 Sanyo AA Eneloops seem to be in the region of £7.

More info from Wikipedia here - but their 'real' name is Low Self Discharge NiMH batteries !

I've never seen them in mine, I reckon only a few stores ever had them. One of those annoying deals again.
