By far the best deal I can find on this camera. It normally sells for £230 without the 16GB memory card, so this is £10 below normal price + a £30 memory card thrown in for free. Effectively a £40 saving.

Full specs are available at Sanyo's site, but the basics of it are that it's small (about the size of a king-size pack of fags), light (about 200g), shoots at 720p resolution, has a battery life of about an hour, a 5x zoom, and is meant to be pretty good. It's basically the newer version of the VPC-HD700, which you can see reviewed at http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2008/10/29/camcorder-group-test-part-4-sanyo-xacti . There's a video sample there too, which is well worth checking out.

I've spent a few hours researching this, and it seems to be the best available at the price point, and it definitely wins bonus points in my view for being pocket-friendly. No point buying a camera that you never use because it's too bulky to carry, I reckon. Lastly, for those for whom 1 hour battery life is a bit weak, 3rd party batteries can be bought from eBay for about £4. All in all, pretty ace, I reckon.

Hm, I'm not convinced. The image qualtiy of those horses looked pretty poor. There's a video taken with this CG10 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KNyMvuj1w0&NR=1 , and I reckon that looks much better. Smoother, sharper, clearer, and much better defined. The Sony looks much more pocket-friendly, but that looks about all it has going for it, sorry.
