Part of their 'out of this world' promotion
£270 off this waterproof camcorder - may be useful for someone?

With a conventional digital camera or camcorder, many users are understandably reluctant to film or shoot in the rain or other wet environments, for the obvious fear of causing water damage to the camera. The VPC-WH1, however, has earned the highest possible IEC 60529 waterproof rating-IPX8-allowing users to capture high-definition (1280 x 720-pixel) 30 fps footage without worrying about the effects of water or snow. The VPC-WH1 is operable down to a water depth of 3 meters (10 feet).

With Sanyo's advanced waterproofing technology, this camera can be used without thinking twice in the rain; for marine sports such as surfing or snorkeling; or for winter sports such as skiing or snowboarding. The VPC-WH1 keeps up with active lifestyles, expanding the scope of shooting opportunities. It features a 30x optical zoom for superior video-capturing. The waterproof Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 Dual Camera is usable year-round and is perfect for activities on the go, regardless of whether users are in the city, by the sea, or in the mountains

I would not bother . read some reviews here
great saving -- reviews even better spotted cold
I bought one of these a year ago from simply electronics for this price - the photos come out like bad camphone ones (marginally better than using a disposable underwater camera because of the flash, but not much). The video is OK but struggles a lot in low light and the image stabilization isn't good if you're walking or zooming often.

Underwater video/photo is all very well but not good if you're switching between air and water as you inevitably get droplets left on the lens casing.

Having said all that, I primarily bought it just to show off my baby's swimming from underwater for which it has done exactly what I wanted.
