Couldn't agree more, although I'd say in most cases it'd be considerably less than an extra 10fps. I have a 6870 but that was when there was less price difference at a higher price point. But with the prices as they are now you'd be crazy to get this over an £85 6850. Fact is, you'll end up needing to replace either at exactly the same point in time so either spend the extra for a high band card or go for the cheaper option.

You could get one bundled with BF3 for 125 a week or so ago
sell the game code, card works out at... 105ish ;)
I'd say no. A fairer price would be much less than 100.
Especially when you go from 29FPS to 39FPS

It is, but once you overclock the 6850 you'll get an extra 5fps. So it's not such a big leap as it seems.
