For an extra £5 i would be tempted to get the Sonic version from Novatech, its slightly overclocked so will give you better performance and better bang4buck :)

However, i have voted hot as its the cheapest i could find the graphics card you state, aside from a dodgy usa site :)

BFM

Edit: My link is only for 512MB version, so scrap that i guess :)

Wouldn't buy anything from overclockers, after sales is non existant, any faulty goods and your stuck with them, absolutely no chance of exchange or refund. Would rather pay more incase I got a faulty product.

You could just do a charge back on credit card or go with the manufactors warranty.

Overclockers are much Much MUCH more trouble then they are worth. They have the lowest rating of any company on google product search for a very good reason.

Here are some Overclockers customer reviews.

juiceblaster,

after service is top notch. They recently opened a section on the forum which I have used. Reply within 5 mins and i popped into the shop following day for a hand over RMA.

Service is fine now, a long time ago it used to be different.

Cant say i have ever had a problem with them personally. Maybe I'm lucky, who knows, but i've dealt with them alot.

Dealt with them on many occasions without issue, then I had some faulty items, couldn't have been less helpfull if they tried, this was less than 6 months ago and if you google them you will see it is a wide spread opinion, can't speak for current level of service but recent denial of service attack suggests to me they are still pi**ing people of left right and centre.
I guess you have been lucky so far!
I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now.

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail
£166.74 inc VAT

Id say their service has been fine over the year Ive been using them, cant say much for before as Id not had many returns back then or used their forum, same / similar experience with most of the online retailers Ive used.

Novatech, Scan (free delivery), eBuyer (super saver), aria have great prices too sometimes.

Had alot of problems with them in a current order (an item was missing). Had to threaten them with getting creditcard involved before they would send the item that was missing :/

If everything is fine with your order and nothing is faulty then they are great, however customer service is laughable at best.

Dont talk nonsense, ive had many things returned and refunded without problem. State your dislike for the company or the man that owns it, but dont make things up, it just makes you look bad.

I've never had any problems with them, but then again I've only ever used them a couple of times. I just saw the price and thought it was pretty good for the 1GB version.

wish I new more about good gaming cards....at least then my son could play COD 5

Carriage free too if you are a forum member.

Hot deal, I was thinking of waiting to till the 49xxs got released later in the year for some price cuts but tempted by this.

Have used OC a lot in the past and never had a problem with them, even when I needed to make a return

Just ordered one today.

I've never had any issues with OCUK, and have been using them since 2004. Only ever needed to RMA 3 items, and each time it was done swiftly and efficiently.

Luck of the draw I guess, but they have been doing a whole revamp of their customer service side to shake up all the negative history they have, which is commendable.
