Been looking at cards for the last week or so and it was between a 5770 and a 4870. 4870 was only £100 and supposedly has better performance so went for that in the end. Hoping I made the right choice...

Is there not a delivery cost to add?
You must include it in your deal price.

The 4870 is the better performing card, though the 5770 will be cooler and much more efficient.
I suppose the only other issue is DX11 compatibility...

At the res I play at, this card is too weak and can hardly perform in dx11. I'll just need to wait for next gen or for the hd5850 to drop in price.

I already have a hd4870 512mb (which benchmarks indicate has similar performance at the moment, new drivers might make a gap), but obviously can't use AA since it's only 512mb lol.

I have the 1GB version which does have better performance than this card. Couldn't find better for around the £100 mark.

Efficiency is what makes these cards a better buy than 4870. It's most noticeable at idle where there's a 40W+ saving.

Yup, but tweak the bios on the hd4870 (original ati ref model) and you can gain some savings.

Of course the newer hd5770 has the advantage at peak load over the hd4870 since who would scale back on the hd4870 xD.

Recently had a new computer made to my spec.
I chose the 5770 1gb card and tested it out with
Crysis. Absolutely superb. Cannnot compare specs
etc with other cards as my tech. knowledge is limited.
The 5770 is fine for me. Well pleased.
