Product Description
Sapphire Jones doesn't believe in relationships anymore - not since she caught her husband in bed with another woman. Now Sapphire only sees men on her terms which is why her current lover is younger than her, good looking, doesn't place any emotional demands on her [so far, fingers crossed] and is great in bed. What more does a girl need? Sapphire puts all her passion into running her own business - a high end lingerie and hen weekend company. She is doing well and life seems pretty good until she meets a very handsome, charming businessman who seems more than a match for Sapphire. Then things go badly wrong at the hen party she has planned for a soap star and tabloid darling. The evening is one that everyone will be talking about for all the wrong reasons and Sapphire faces front page headlines all of her own...Suddenly her business is in jeopardy, her well-controlled private life is falling apart, and in the middle of all this Sapphire realises that she is not immune to love after all, but has she left it too late?

Company magazine were recently giving away one of her books. I usually buy the magazine, but didn't that month as I didn't want to be stuck with the book.

Who on earth would consider buying a book from the Queen of Chavs?

Maybe you need a change, expand your literature horizons, so that you can make better comparisons and discover what a 'decent read' really is.

Left my neg. Wouldnt use it as toilet paper.
The sooner ppl stop buying this trash the less paper will be wasted, plus the publishers will stop churning this rubbish out & the more sensible ppl in this world will be.

Thankyou for your constructive criticism  - however you do not know me, or therefore, my reading habits.

For a chick-lit book, they have been good. I am not however comparing them to the likes of Jane Austen.

I've read all her books and I like them, not really that bothered in hearing anyone elses opinion as i'm sure people dont want to hear my views.
Regardless the deal is not hot to me anyway - I use a book swap website or wait til they drop to £1 in a few months - i read a lot so would spend a fortune if i didnt!

Welcome to the internets:roll:

Does it matter that a different person, who might not have quite such big breasts, actually writes the books?

Imagine how bad they might be if she did write them herself.

Seriously, I don't know how people can feel good about handing her their cash. I think it is crazy how because she was a sucessful woman and everyone had such an insight into her private life tonnes of lasses seemed to think the sun shined out her bum.

1. She sells her assets to the highest bidder. Whilst this is taking advantage of mens stupidity it is also a really bad role model of how to be sucessful. How many more young girls will now be trying to make their cash following her example.

2. She is a bossy control freak. Seriously my missus watches tonnes of things about her, there is a difference between having an opinion, and just being "another word for a door handle" about everything.

3. She is a crap mother, I don't care how she spins it, she regularly puts herself so far before her kids it is untrue.

4. She has zero self respect. Not satisfied with page three she has also had a sex tape on the internet and was even on the verge of doing an internet pay per view of the birth of her first born, nice.

Seriously people, there are lots of good books out there, many are cheaper to buy, none are cheaper by association.

Ahhhh, you're funny. :) Maybe you should look up 'judgemental' in a dictionary and reconsider the accuracy of your comment? Just a thought.

I tried to be as non-judgemental and conversational with my comment as possible. I made a fair suggestion. Life's too short to read bad prose when there are masterpieces out there.

This is like spending your money on a Fiat Cinquecento when someone offers you a perfect, new Bentley, Ferrari or Porsche for the same money.

I hate to be 'judgemental', but the word you are all looking for is judgmental. Such delicious ironing.

Also, a Fiat Cinquecento is much more practical and economical than the other cars mentioned. To compare such a decent car to this utter toss is a little unfair.

Hence why I said look up 'judgemental' in a dictionary. It's in quotes because both the spelling, which I borrowed from the comment I quoted, and the use of it are wrong, both of which a dictionary would demonstrate.

That car is neither of those things if you're tall, have a family and pets or need to do motorway miles. I think you missed the point, it was a price/value comparison. Make it a Kia Rio versus the new Vauxhall Insignia (Car of the Year 2009) if you prefer.

Oh this thread has made me laugh! Ladies dont rise to the trolling!

There nothing wrong with chick lit if thats your bag, and I bet the story itself is OK - but ghost written, sexed up chick lit selling off of a 'brand' like Jordan is just depressing IMO. To be fair, just under £6 quid isnt bad for a hardback book though.

But a book 'by' Jordan - come on!!!!!!!!!!!

No-one has said there is - I've even read some by authors like Helen Fielding and Cecilia Aherne. They're not bad.

But reading a book only because it's associated with someone like Jordan is just beyond pathetic.

So you don't read a book based on the author and your knowledge of their works:?

I work in a bookshop. I used to go to the library every week from the age of 13 and take up to three books out a week.

I read the blurb on the back, and if it sounds intresting will read it regardless of who writes it.
