Yes, I bought one last Spring thinking it would be an improvement on my 2 year old 7650GS and it actually dragged the Windows graphics score down by about half a point!

This was for my media centre and so I'm not concerned with games though, but the fact that the picture didn't seem as good as with the nVidia cards and, more importantly, it did not accelerate the decoding of video through Media Center itself as I thought it would so I sold it on for the same money as I bought it for.

For a fanless card with HDMI out though it is a good price.

What would be an OK gaming card for a bit more money? Thanks

No idea I'm afraid, gaming hasn't been important to me since the days of Quake & my old Orchid Righteous 3D!

If you can find a 9600GT for £50-55 then that's a good choice, otherwise the best value is a 4770/4850 at around £70. You could go for a 4670 at around £50-55 which is 'OK' but it's not great value for money compared to the 4770/4850.
