Pre-ordered mine!

Did have a XFX 5830 XXX on order for £83.99, but decided to cancel it and order one of these instead. For an extra £20, I think the performance gained is very much worth it! :)

Great deal. Shame theres nothing similar on something a bit more high end. Looking to spend £180 and I'm twiddling my thumbs till a 6950 2GB drops to somewhere near that price

Do they take the cash straight away on pre-orders?

No, they don't. The order shows as out of stock until they come in. I think they take the payment then.

I have a 5850 atm. Performs brilliantly. Seriously tempted to get a second and go xfire at this price !
(hot btw!)

btw i dont think good ol scan will sell it cheaper than ebuyer's price, (maybe they do it in today only discounts someday).o.v.e.r.c.l.o.c.k.e.r.s sell it for £117.99 inc delivery.

Great card. Voted hot! Definitely the best bang for buck mid range card on the market at the moment. Bought mine from OcUK a couple of weeks ago for £107.99.

Maxes BFBC2 (with an Athlon II [email protected]).

Seems bizarre calling this mid range, just shows how far graphics cards have advanced over the last 12 months.

Brilliant price, for a still very powerful card.

Just a word of warning, if these are the same batch that o.v.e.r.clockers are selling, they seem to have a higher than average failure rate.
#11
It's £98 on pixmania, though they charge for delivery.
#12
Well that's my birthday present sorted!!!

At least with ebuyer you have somewhere to stand if they do fail...

Voted hot, these cards can give the nvidia 560 a run for their money depending on which benchmarks you belive

Yes I know the Bit tech review is for a hevily overclocked 560ti but it has a still over clocked 560ti on the chart too vs a 5850 not overclocked.

Tempting, how would this be compared to a 4870 1GB OC?

bought one last week to crossfirex with my MSI one..

for these sort of prices I couldn't resist.

In crossfire.. 5850s are amazing... don't buy 1, buy 2 to crossfire!
#17
Hot, I have one of these and its Fast, looking forward to some Crossfire Action!
#18
Got one, no voltage adjust and smaller than other 5850s.

Its likely budget components are used, so doesn't over-clock much, and as evident with the lack of voltage adjust circuitry.
#19
How will one of these compare against an nvidia 460?
#20
Ah nuts only 1 dvi :(

If you're talking the 1GB version - the performance will be very similar overall. Unless you're a hardcore Nvidia fan, or need their CUDA technology, I wouldn't think twice.

I'd love to get this but I've decided I'm moving over to Nvidia for my next card, I want 3D and ATI really aren't very good for 3D.
Hot deal regardless though

OC'ing this to a 5870 then crossfiring them will get you to run Nasa from your PC.
#24
wow great deal these card still have a lot of grunt and will paly most modern titles at 1920x1080 with high settings. You can put this in xfire and get 480+ performance for £200. Hot hot shame I just bought a 6950 1gb for £200

was thinking of going for 6870 or 6850 as they are the best bank for buck from above diagram?? But now the prices are dropping I'll go for the 6950.

BENCHMARKS 1

&

BENCHMARKS 2

Does any1 know where I an see a table that details;

1) GPU Manufacturer,
2) UK RMA or Europe RMA or Worldwide RMA
3) lenght of warranty (1 yr, 2 yrs etc)

Don't really wanna send my GPU far away for repair. Thanks

If you are just going to benchmark your card, then sure, Passmark might be worth just looking at. However if you are going to be gaming with it, makes more sense to actually look at those results.

Some of these benchmarks can be in DX9/10/11 and can even be benchmarking certain new features on the cards, such as Tessellation. So sometimes these benchmarks can mean diddley squat for real world performance.

As far as I can see this card has the best bang for the buck no matter what you want. Putting two of these in crossfire would be even better.
