Great deal!
There are few other cards for good prices on here too. About £5 more you can get a XFX HD 6950 1GB, too. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/254889

Just bought this myself. Got an XFX 4870 but it's a wee bit out out of date and runs way too hot for my likeing.

Good deal OP! :)
#3
Wow, great price if you don't need the 2Gb version (let's face it, not many do). Won't be able to mod to 6970 on the 1Gbs though.
#4
Which would you go for, this card or the Gainward GTX 560 1GB GDDR5??

Depends what you play from the looks of it.

Really tempted but it's a sideways move from a 5870 in most games at best, although I could possibly offload current card for close to this if I sell it quickly. Wish they'd hurry up and sell out to spare me the decision.

was thinking of going for 6870 or 6850 as they are the best bank for buck from above diagram?? But now the prices are dropping I'll go for the 6950.

Thanks OP

Billy Bargain. Shame I bought a 6850 a couple of weeks ago for £10 less than this price.
#11
Could they not have done this about 6 weeks ago, just before I shelled out £130 for my 6850? Still, you've gotta laugh... grrrr
#12
I also couldn't decide between this and 560ti. Ended up buying both! Will decide which one I like more the other will go on fleebay. Can't go wrong at this price. This is a current mid-to-top-range card. No way prices are going to drop to that level anytime soon. It's an obvious misprice. Time will tell if they honour this.

im looking to game at 2560 x 1440 res, will this do? or should i be looking at 2gb cards?
#14
Damn you OP! I have no will power. Bought.

hi all

This is a such good deal!

I bought the EVGA 560ti FSB from Scan about 2 days ago, for £194 and then £7 extended warranty from EVGA

Was temped just now to return the 560ti and get this Sapphire 6950!! But then i think im happy with the EVGA 560Ti as i can overclock it without voidng warranty and thus get a free performance boost :)
Also i got 7 years warranty, and i can step up in 90 days (from purchase) to a better card and pay the price difference :D

I would recommend the 560ti from EVGA to be honest...

Btw i dont think this 6950 price is a misprint! I think there getting rid of stock on some items quickly, thus reducing the price

Damn that's cheap!

Even at a resolution that high 1gb should be plenty. From the reviews I've read the 2gb card only offers a significant advantage on multiple screen set ups.
#18
Damn.. I really should be saving atm, but this is sooooo tempting. :(
#19
Only one left last time I checked.
#20
Gone. Let's hope mine arrives.
Surely this is a misprice. It's very much a current mid-to-top range model!
#21
out of stock :(
#22
Good deal, shame I can't seem to get my account credit to apply to the order :(

Caved in and got one in the end even though I really didn't need it, another case of the 'too good to miss' syndrome. This site should be banned lol.
#24
stupid thing i was busy buying one but i had to create an account which was moaning about all my details and in the end said out of stock!

this has to be a miss print, goodluck :)

Where were all these deals when I was building? :(
Watching GPU and RAM prices crash is agonising.
#31
Price back up to £183.97 with no stock. certainly was a bargain whilst it lasted.

Mine's been showing payment taken since yesterday, but just noticed the shipping date of 04/05 (that's with the free 5 day shipping option), surely the bank holiday/wedding malarkey isn't going to stretch it out that long :(
