This product is £375 inc. VAT on Overclockers website and that was reduced from £411 about a week ago. On the basis of that I don't think this is a bad deal. Not sure about the "Ordered on demand" part though. Does that mean a delay in delivery or they only order once they get a specific number of orders?

Have added heat based on the considerably lower price.

adding heat 'cos we need more gfx card deals posted
and its a good price too

Frustrates me to see people voting cold and not making an effort to justify why...............

Can OP please put 'Pre-order' in the title.

Incredible 2Gb :w00t: memory on this card!

Don't forget 5% Quidco cashback, which is ~£13.60.

Incredible 2Gb :w00t: memory on this card!

It's a dual-chip card though so it's effectively only 1GB.

I think that most people would think that this isn't much of a deal. It may well be top spec.at a reduction from a typical selling price but that doesn't make it a bargain.

Furthermore, the price of gfx cards drops like a stone as new models come out, which then makes the purchase a real turkey.

Tell us how much this is selling for in 6-9 months time and you'll see what I mean.

£320 is a significant sum of money to spend on a gfx card, regardless how "good" it is so it's not surprising it isn't considered a hot deal.

So true, i feel sorry for whoever bought the gtx280s on day of release..

but for someone who MUST buy this card (not me!) then this is a good deal from that perspective....

The price of this won't drop all that much. Top end stuff never drops that much. It's never ordered in high enough numbers to leave retailers with high levels of stock they need to get rid of when a new model comes out. Stuff will always get cheaper over time anyway. it's the nature of the beast. This is a great price for a truly top end graphics card
