600W is min but alot of the time they assume u have lots of other peripheries and drives etc so play it safe with the psu needed.

I dont see why it wont work to be honest.

Yes it would, you would be fine.

I use my Powercolor 290 pcs+ with a OCZ ModXStream Pro 600 W and a 3570k clocked at 4.5ghz, + 16gb ram, SSD and 1tb HDD.

Your CX600M actually has a little more power on the 12v rail than my PSU so you would be fine.

will definitely work. I have ran more power hungry cards on a 650 corsair so a 600 with this will be sufficient

I've been waiting for the exact same thing. It hit £200 on the MSI Twin Frozr before Christmas and it's only really gone back up since!

Yep expired

Still this price on amazon though.

Yes... i ran two 290x's, i7 4770k, sound card and a ton of fans from a 850W.
#16
Great price for this card but personally I would and will put in an extra £30ish for a 970 or wait a few weeks and see what price / performance you could get from a 960/ti as less power ,quieter and cooler case would be worth the extra Imo .
Or alternatively you could wait and see what AMD release next as hopefully they'll release some cards that better compete with nividia 900 series price / performance
#17
Will this work as a crossfire with my MSI R9 290x Gaming Edition and is there a point of upgrading now?
#18
Oh,

I have a 1000 watt power supply. I7n4790k Processor and 8gb ram 2133 mhz with 250gb solid state Samsung evo and 2 1 tb hd.

Thanks.

Would recommend buying from Amazon over Ebuyer. If your parcel gets lost you have 7 days to report it or they will refuse refund you.

I bought this card in april last year together with xeon v3 1230, 8gb 2133 ram, asrock h87 fatality mobo and evga 750watt power supply, its been doing great since. Its a quiet card in well ventilated case. You dont want to hear this card with 100% fans on, its a demon. Saying that I have never seen it running 100%. I highly recommend it.
#21
In terms of raw performance it really compares to a 970. The AMD being quiet more power consuming (heat and noise coming from it. It could be a good choice as it is. See Anandtech bench : http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1056?vs=1355

It should be fine tbh. AMD cards are power hungry but a decent 600W + PSU should be fine, unless you've got like 50 fans and HDDs.
#23
given that most decent 970's have gone up in price recently voted HOT & ordered (£5 off for mastercard still valid).

I run an i7 4790k with a 290x and I've got 650w xfx PSU and had no issues so should be adequate.
#25
I have this exact card and it's excellent. Be warned though it's extremely long, the heatsink and cooler extend far beyond the end of the PCB! You have been warned :) Still fits in my Elite 130 though ;)

Yep because the 960's might be the same price as the 970's were a few weeks back. Making this a good deal.
