Yup!

I've ordered one, but now need a larger PSU for my 'Dell E520'.

I've heard some just don't fit tho'.

Any ideas guys??

I spent a similar amount for the 256MB version just a couple of weeks back. :(

I have a Dell E520 with a Sapphire X1950 Pro 512mb and use a Coolermaster I-Green 500w psu. I have had no problems and the psu fits in perfectly.

Thanks Rob

How is the PSU and X1950Pro for noise?

I'd imagine they are a bit louder than the standard E520?

The Psu is dead quiet as is the card, the only noise I can hear is from the dell cpu cooling fan.

I really don't know why people would buy this over the X1950XT which is only an extra tenner, the extra 256mb memory is only useful if you are cranking up the resolutions with all the eye candy which this card can't do anyway....

Voted Cold, the other card is a better deal ...

Check out Toms Hardware VGA charts and you can see the X1950XT can get upwards of 20 more frames over the X1950pro...

I dont think the XT will fit inside the Dell E520 case as the card has a larger cooler on top, so a X1950 pro is probably the best card that will fit inside the machine.

Because it won't fit in all machines (namely the Dell E520) without a bit of surgery so I believe (due to the X1950XT being a dual slot card and the Dell E520 mobo being BTX).

Yeah, but when the 512MB version is only about £4.00 more than the X1950Pro - 256MB version, why the hell not get the 512MB vesion?

Yes, it probably is the better card, but maybe not as straight forward to fit as this one.

Hopefully this'll help someone. ;)

Didn't realise it didn't fit inside a Dell E520, so for dell owners etc (HP/Compaq .. the list goes on) this is a good deal ...

For everyone else spend the extra tenner ...

EDIT: I still stand by my cold vote though because its not a dell forum and as a deal for people buying a performance graphics card it really isnt that good, you could get a 7950GT for this price a little while ago... sorry not tryin to come across as aggressive this is just my view :)

Well, this is one of the most powerful single slot cards around. Plus there are lots of people that have had problems with the X1950XT.

Personally, I think this is a great deal, this price is around £20 cheaper than elsewhere!
