Good price but you are going to get a load of cold votes due to piximania!

Don't see the point of voting cold, the hotter a deal the more chance for a competitor price match. Who cares if its pixmania, its still a cracking price

Great Price but Sapphire have terrible warranty support, expect 2 months turn arround for RMA's.

Bought this from Amazon for roughly the same price but the card is suffering from a clicking noise issue that's apprently common with these cards. How are Pixmania with returns as I would like to buy one from them to see if it's any better and send the Amazon one back if it is. If not, I'd send the Pixmania one back and wait for a replacement with Amazon when it comes back from "Under Review".

Right now, I am having to cable tie the end of the card to my case so it stops the noise :(

How long ago did you buy your Amazon card? I recently bought this exact model for £284 and when I received it I noticed it had clearly been a used return, not new as stated. This was two weeks ago, I think others had issues with the card around the same time hence the product being under review on Amazon.

I would definitely pick this up but I keep hearing nothing but bad things about Pixmania.

2nd of June, mine came brand new but the fan issue is annoying. Maybe yours had been RMA'd for that reason..?

Also, I can't seem to get the code to work, has anybody actually tried it?

The biggest problem with pixmania is returns. They are based in France so an RMA or product return will require some patience. You may even have to pay for the return postage. The chance of receiving a faulty graphics card is pretty slim, not saying that it doesn't happen, but you decide whether the cost saving is worth the risk.

Generally it seems that even UK companies like Aria and Overclockers have a terrible track record for RMA. Incidents of products being returned to customers when sent back as faulty are all too common.

So are Pixmania any worse than some of our own UK companies? I don't know but they are by far the cheapest.

Dear Mr ______,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding SAPPHIRE TECHNOLOGY R9 290 Tri-X OC - 4 GB GDDR5 - PCI-Express.

The reason that the discount code does not work is because the product is already on a 9% discount.

It is not possible to use multiple discounts on the same product.

Your business is much appreciated, so please contact us if you have any further questions or queries

Have a nice day.

Sincerely,
Dennis

Just a heads up!
