Having missed out on the Scan card the other day, I went searching for a few other alternatives. Pixmania seem to have a nice selection of cheap mid range cards, including a 2gb Gainward GFX 460 for £170. I think this is the best deal though and is the card I have gone for.

Based on this link, this card seems pretty good:

and also this link:,2782-7.html

Next cheapest seems to be ebuyer at £150. Delivery cost can be slightly negated by quidco at 3%

Not anything from Pixmania i dont care how cheap it is and this is not really that cheap not enough to warrant the agro when it fails and you need support.

this card comes to £143 theres the preorder from scan for £146 and thats a ASUS fith factory overclock and no doubt if you wait a week when they have stock and its on today only it will be £140 or below.
so cold from me.

I would have to agree. I would pay the extra and get it from a UK supplier.
You can get an XFX one from dabs for £140 delivered if you use the £10-off voucher.

The XFX version is known to be a very noisy card though. I ordered the Asus version from dabs for the same price and i'm expecting it any day now. They are out of stock on the Asus now though.

not a great deal at £143 delivered, and its pixmania. scan and aria have them cheaper!
Dont waste your money at pixmania. Might be a few quid cheaper but not worth the hassle if you have a problem. If you must buy then use your credit card to pay, not through paypal as you wont get the cover under section 75 of the consumer credit protection . I found that out the hard way!
how does this compare to the 5770 1GB ?
^The 6850 is better
Bought the Gainward 460 GS a few days ago... bargain if you ask me...
