adys71, please edit your post to include the total price including delivery in the title & price fields. Looks like the cheapest del is £7.20, so that's £117.20 in total.

Prices for the same card start at £115 delivered at eBuyer.

Welcome to HUKD btw :)

Edit: Correct link for above - http://www.ebuyer.com/search?sort=pricelow&q=hd+4850&limit=10&page=1

I'm pretty sure these cheap versions don't come with any software apart from the driver CD (which you will want to download the latest version of anyway).

My Sapphire HD 4850 didn't at least (although it wasn't bought from there).

I have this card from Ebuyer. No software other than an out of date driver CD.

Graphics cards will almost always come with the launch drivers for that card. They don't usually/always update them. First thing you should do is download the new drivers anyway.

are ebuyer still charging £20 delivery to Northern Ireland? If so then makes it an even better deal for NI customers

Stopped using them a long time ago because of this. If you even buy a packet of screws at 99p the postage surcharge is £15 lol

I am building a new system, I may well buy this, good deal :)

No, it is indeed £115, see below. Prices fluctuate sometimes, so the price is right for the day I post them.

rubbish company wouldnt buy anything from Pixmania they are not based in the UK so the laws of the land dont apply to them if you have issues they will not care so you will be on your own if you want this card buy it from Ebuyer or get Pcworld to do a price match and pick it up in store but dont buy from Pixmania for this reason im voting it cold.
#15
PC world only stock the Saphire version and will only match certain web sites. Works out about 124 quid from PC world.

v.true ....also buy anything that comes with a power plug from them and you get a euro plug every time, not that it applies this time of course.

i've had 2 of these cards for a couple of weeks at this price delivered so voted cold.

Post is for a Sapphire HD 4850. Not a PowerColor HD 4850. You can't post a card made by a different manufacturer and then say Ha! 5 pounds cheaper. You have to compare like for like, as Sapphire have an intimidating reputation as an ATI card.

Voted hot, rep added and no more linking irrelevant cards to the deal please.

Can anyone recommend a good power supply for this. I would like to get one for my son, but he currently has a 350w, would like something half decent but not too expensive :)

Go for an OCZ unit, the 500W one isn't expensive either.

You make it sound like Pixmania are a shady company.... which they're not. They're a perfectly reputable company and have plenty of happy customers.
