I've never seen the point of a case for a sat nav, who needs another thing to faff with before getting going, plus it means you'll have to take the wires off and put them somewhere else.

You just need a suitable sized storage comparment in your car and a couple of dusters. One duster to cusion the bottom of the storage compartment and one to remove any trace of the suction pad on your screen.

That said, if you do feel the need for some extra faffing 97p is good value if you can find any. It is probably better quality than those from a pound shop also.

Who would be daft enough to leave their Sat Nav in the car? :?

Yeah, the one I got from the £1 store only fits my TomTom if I really push it in, which I don't like the idea of doing!

A sat nav in a car with no evidence of a sat nave being in a car is not a problem.

If you're willing to take the risk, go for it. I know I'm not! :-D

will this also fit the screen mount and car charger?

erm, no, will just fit an average satnav unit only, probably best used to avoid scratches if left in a glove compartment or protected whilst mobile

Just hoping it'll fit a navigo

Well i'm gobsmacked they actually have some at 97p, iv'e just been and got 2 at Halifax Pcworld. And these are perfect for the £50 ebuyer Navigo.

My poundland '£1' carry case fits my Navigo satnav in just fine
#11
Can somebody who bought one be kind enough to measure it for me? I need to know if it'll fit my TomTom!

If it were me I'd be looking for telltale signs on the windscreens where those suction mounts have been .... then BOOM, window in, glovebox open, set the satnav to "home" and I'd be down at your house watching your telly in your wife's underthings whilst you were still in Asda.

Thats why my satnav is set to the street before mine and not my actual home!

You're out of touch, they don't break car windows so much anymore, but bend the uppper half of the offside window frame. I should know :x. If only they broke the bl**dy window, I wouldn't have had to have a new door, it creates too much noise apparently.

Having known someone who cracked the screen of their shiny new tom tom in the second week of having one, 97p seems damned reasonable to me irrespective of faff.

On the subject I use a Pdair leather case like this;

http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_11000173_11000174&products_id=6642

for mine - which is ok. I wanted something I could leave on when it's being used & indeed to offer some sort of protection if it drops off the windscreen - which somtimes it does.

I usually carry mine, leave the mount in the car and the glovebox open.

Been looking at these cases on DealExtreme website - know their not Sat nav cases but they are about the right size and would fit the screen mount as well. Any feedback people have is welcome. Roughly about half the $ price to convert to £ and free shipping.

Exactly what happened to me last week - thieving bar stewards. :x Luckily I was able to bend the door back - but it will require replacing and a door for any model isn't cheap. Must have been in a rush as they left my TomTom Carry Case and Traffic Receiver? Thought I lived in a very secure area, but now realize nowhere is sacred - if anyone is reticent about removing it then please learn from my experience. Such a pain refitting after each use that it now sits in the house and I haven't really used the replacement which is a TomTom 530 and it's hardly any different to the TomTom 520 it replaced - don't bother upgrading if you were thinking about it!

its only designed for a satnav unit, far too small, it would be nice for companies like this to actually put some dimensions on their items to help people :x
