With all the Studio Ghibli movies getting a lot of interest on HUKD I thought you guys might like to check out some Satoshi Kon. I think the guy's at least as talented and fantastic as Miyazaki/Ghibli and I really like the stories he tells. Perhaps a little more adult than Miyazaki though. Best deal's £2.90 for hist latest movie "Paprika", totally worth it at that price, which I've linked to.

Paprika (2006) - £2.90 @ SelectCheaper

Great, very surreal movie - tinges of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind in subject matter though gets quite dark too (not one for the kids). When a machine that allows therapists to enter their patient's dreams is stolen, all hell breaks loose. Only a young female therapist can stop it: Paprika.

Seems to go in and out of stock very quickly at Select Cheaper but is also available for £4.45 at The Hut.

Tokyo Godfathers (2003) - £3.99 @ Amazon

My fave anime film alongside Spirited Away. The humorous and heartwarming tale of 3 Tokyo homeless who find a newborn baby and try to return it. Really excellent.

Millennium Actress (2001) - £3.85 @ The Hut

An old screen actress tells a film crew her life story and drags them into it. Very nicely told. Same price at Zavvi by the way.

Memories (1995) - £4.99 @ HMV

Not directed by Kon like the others, but he wrote Magnetic Rose, one of the the three sci-fi stories that makes up Memories. Worth a punt too!

(Perfect Blue, his directoral debut, is sadly not available cheaply - I had to get mine from CEX).

Great price if they can provide it. Enjoyed this film, right amount of wackiness for it's genre. I'd suggets different posts for different vendors though.
Heat and rep. Good effort and great films.
Oh I might have a look later when I have more time
Fantastic film! Truely a one for the collection!
