It's so rare to get a discount on Netflix and so I thought I would share this trick.

With both Asda and Tesco having 20% Off Google Play Store £25 Vouchers here's an easy way to save yourself some money on Netflix.

Buy enough vouchers to fund you a year of Netflix. E.g 1 screen is 5.99 a month or £71.88 a year so you'll need 3 £25 vouchers. Buy these from Asda or Tesco to get 20% off.

Cancel Netflix to end at the current Month.

Re-subscribe to Netflix via the Your Android App and make sure you choose Google Pay as your payment method.

Voila!

For One Screen Netflix you save £14.37 (£11.25 and £3.12 spare Play Store credit)

Full info on billing Netflix with Google Pay here: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/42851

Ive got an even better netflix deal. You can actually get it for free if a member of your family is a sap and gives you their login details. Unfortunately, I'm that sap and I'm footing the bill :{ .

Can this also use up Google Play Rewards credit? I always have tons of that with no real use for it.

Could be wrong but I don't think you can, unfortunately. Maybe worth asking their live chat just in case though.

You can't use it for subscriptions anymore. You can buy apps, music and books though.

Good way to use the M&Ms Sweet Nights In credit too - a weeks worth of chocolate for one month of Netflix :-D

Is it just me or is this a bit risky. So you cancel your account and then wait until it expires in a month. Who is to say that they'll definitely accept this payment method when you try and sign up again. The site says:
*This billing method is being rolled out gradually, so it may not currently be available to all customers in the United States, Canada, UK, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany, Finland, India, and Israel. Google Play billing is only available in Latin America to some but not all customers in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Chile.

Why cancel? Why not just change your subscription method?

The billing method can only be activated by re-activating subscription via the app or starting a fresh account via the app.

Is there a way to report comments from thieving scum?

Been doing this for years via iTunes. Often 20% off iTunes vouchers and can pick them up easily...

In fact just checked. July 2013 was when I started - and I get 2 screens for £5.99 inc HD.

Nice that there are deals for early adopters :-)

To save even more money, use proxy and subscribe from another country. Try Philippines, works out a lot cheaper than £5.99 a month

It's about (php 370) or £5.79 through there on current exchange rate, some banks then charge a transaction fee which makes it more expensive.

Quality is terrible, might be fine on a tiny LCD screen with clouding and back light bleed. Netflix are the only provider that are putting up plenty of HDR content so it's well worth the price.

For those unable to use this method the next best way I found was to buy Netflix gift cards which aren't available widely but those that stock them often have them offered at a discount. At the mo, You can get a £25 card for £22.79 from cdkeys with their daily code, so a 9% discount plus any Quidco cb. Easy to apply the code and simply fills your Netflix wallet like their radio times offer did a few months ago.

Can you only pay by iTunes in the app, I've got lots of O2 credit which I can buy iTunes e-vouchers with?
