#2
Errrr? Am I missing something here? As when you look at the prices for this offer on the link (or currys direct) it doesn't quote the £60 you mentioned ? Or am I being purrrrfectly stoopid?

There's so many Dyson models. I think the one you're looking at is the DC14 Origin model. The DC14 Full Access one doesn't seem to be listed on the site...

have you got a pic of the flyer? cant see how thats right?
#5
where'd you get the flyer??
#6
Usual instore price £79.97 (on the flyer)??
#7
An excellent price if this is true. heat added
#8
£59 is your old vacuum cleaner " trade-in " price for this model (dc14 Full Access full price £239 ).
25% of £239= £59
#9
cheers .......... :)
#10
DC14 Full Access has an instore price of £79.97 !!!!?????
Are you kidding?
#11
I reckon its a misprint as normally its the DC16 at that price, would be interesting to see if they would honour it.
#12
Currys prices are rubbish.

You can buy most of these Dysons for less than their trade in price. I am buying the DC24 today, from Comet for £174.79.

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/441350/DYSON-DC24%20ALL%20FLOORS

The product codes are on that leaflet (418726 & 169411) so I will ask them in Curry's (Kingston Park) later today when I go to Tesco, though probably someone will have shed light on this by then. It would appear to be a misprint as £80 is not the normal price for any Dyson (even the little handheld one is usually more than that.)

Fingers crossed they'll honour this :)
#14
headco will be right doesn't everyone realise by now ,most adverts are trickery
"upto 50% off,,, and one item has 50% off the rest have 5% off"
I mean does anyone seriously think they are going to get a £250 dyson for £60 from currys!!!!!
The £59 is for your old dyson, Currys will put 10% on the dysons the week earlier so you save about £25

One thing we have just replaced both hoses and filter on our 07 alergy and the power level is back to new.
#15
collect a faulty cleaner from your local dump and trade that in if you go for this. then sell your working vac on loot, gumtre or fleabay for a few quid...

We're not discussing most advertising. The 25% off Dysons is 25%, not 50%, not 5%. However as most 'big' shops will have the same 25% off you are effectively comparing like-forlike e.g. the DC24 that another poster mentioned is around £175 @ Comet, Amazon, Dixons. (Currys are charging an extra fiver and demanding you bring in an old vacuum cleaner - why? I have no idea!)

The £59.98 is not for your old Dyson. The leaflet says the usual instore price is £79.97 so the price after 25% discount is £59.98. It's probably a misprint, maybe the instore price is £180 and someone mised the "1" off - who knows? All that matters is that if Curry's honour the £59.98 price then this is a hot deal.
#17
Its not a misprint. The flyers are the same as the stock cumputer.

Watched the fella typing the codes in on the computer instore.

They don't have any of the two cheap ones (dc14 full access or dc08) in stock, well, non in Yorkshire. Doubt they will anywhere.

Agree you can get dysons at greatly reduced prices from rrp.
#18
Not a miss-print.
Currys are advertising a model that was discontinued a couple of years ago - maybe 1 or 2 left in the country.
Currys are misleading the public yet again with false promises of products at low prices.

To keep this is context the offer of 25% off a new dyson as trade for any used vaccuum is a good deal, Currys have just used a very poor example.
#19
Just rang Currys, the product code is correct and that is the correct instore price for the DC14 Full Access, but the lady said it was an end of line item and she would be very suprised if any stores had stock. She checked all stores near Chesterfield and Coventry and there were no stock. So good luck if you do find 1, it's a cracking price, the rest are just average.

Spot on there. The other models are now just a competitive price with other retailers, so go and buy it from somewhere else and keep your old one for a spare.
Cold I am afraid.

That's a shame considering the 'full access' DC14 looks almost identical to the 'all floors' DC14. I wonder how long the 'full access' was in-store for £80 - not long I suspect. That would have been a good deal on its own.

It'll have just been reduced to that price, when there are none left! This deal is getting voted based of the £60 cleaner so I have to agree that it's cold now.
#23
£60 for a dyson is a bloody bargain. voted hot and also added Rep :)

Have you read the thread? The £60 Dyson does not exist, it's another Curry's illusion:roll:
#25
its just typical that there were no offers on the Dyson DC25 in the last week so i decided to get one from Costco £207 inc vat which i thought was reasonable the next couple of days more dysons deals are posted
typical lol
#26
it looks like the 5 year guarantee could be £59.98

No it's not that is the price of the model they are advertising, it's correct. Problem is over the whole business, they may have 2 instock. Chances are those 2 will be faulty/returns as these still show up as stock on the system. It will be end of line stock but makes a good headline grabber, no? I mean look at all the hot votes on here for example.
That is the right price, chances of you finding one are nil :-(
#28
I would give up Tinks, no-one is listening lol
#29
For the DC14 you get a TRADE IN value of £59.98 (see bottom of flyer) SO AFTER THE TRADE IN YOU WILL PAY £148.00 WHICH IS WHERE THE 25% COMES FROM
197.33 - 25% = 148
Not sure where they get the £59 from

Lol, oh well, there will be lots of people in Currys today then, for their £60 Dyson, lol.

You are wrong, see the flyer, DC14 full access, usual instore price £79.97 . 97 means clearance.
Product code 418726
Trade in code169411.
Therefore your trade in price is £59.98. :)

this clears it all up for me, no one can sell a dyson for 60 quid no matter what deals they have.
thanks tinkerbell, now its the matter of finding one in the UK. lol
#32
basically, you will go into store and ask for this, they will type the product code into the eclipse system, they will show no stock cos its obviosly super clearance.

.97 is clearance. Dont mean they dont have any, but at this price its very unlikely. Currys prices are not too hot at the moment and its the same as boxing day, they put a nice carrot up for you to get you in, then do the work to steer you towards the other products.

There is little or no chance they will have one of these in stock, if they do, it is probably going to be a display model with half of the stuff missing or its gonna be a returned faulty item.

Problem is, the stores can only search a certain area, they can search further afield, but most of them wont do it for you.

Ask them to check the different 'cost centres' and they will know what you mean then. Or if they are really dumb, when they search for the item ,there is a button at the top of the screen which will change the hub trhey search. !!

Good luck, but dont hold any hopes.

When I was painting and decorating for a living, I had to make regular visits to the local dump. I would see more dead Dysons on the heap than anything else. Tells you all you need to know.
#38
indeed. which said dysons are sh!t. stick with miele for reliability and quality.
