You can SAVE 2p on a cucumber at TESCO. Just buy 2 halfs (at 48p each) instead of whole cucumber. Last night during shopping we have measured two portions of cucumber (48p each) and they are actually longer than whole cucumber priced at 98p. This is not a scam this is genuine HOT DEAL ;)

Seriously though, your grocery shopping must take you ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant Hahah!!
How long does it take you to complete your shopping trip, investigating such major saving? Heat given for comedy alone.:geek:
come on, every little helps - your vote, his vote, her vote and we will be in the top deals of the day/week maybe even year ;)
Im voting this hot lol. When we had guinea pigs my daughter used to actually weigh the cucumbers so that we got our piggies as much cucumber as possible for our money!

erm :?
erm :?

hot, assuming the two halves from the same whole cucumber might be in the box..........cucumber jigsaw!!!
actually pretty good in that a half cucumber costs less than haf the price of a whole one, they usually charge you more...after all, they've spent the time cutting it up ;)
class reading hahahaha
This must be common practice. I asked my daughter to get a cucumber one evening when shopping in Asda a long time ago and she came back with two halfs because they were cheaper.
now this would impress me
Oh dear.....
And make sure you get two of the rounded ends - not the pointy stalky ends!
voted cold!

I have been to my local tesco and tested your theory...comparing 10 whole cucumbers against 20 halves, and on average...your a loser!!

anyway, surely the girth has to be taken into account for overall volume?!
Thank You, Thank You and Thank You it's -85, cold enough to keep all the cucumbers nice and fresh

tomorrow we will compare prices of the whole milk and half pint, what do You reckon ?
Sorted, saved 2p and bigger - thanks heat added
Hot from me, the rest of you cold voters are grumpy sods :P

Made me chuckle!
I thought that this was what HUKDs was about, buying the same stuff cheaper. So it's not a great deal, but why is it so cold, somebody explain to me what is so BAD about it. Heat from me. I don't have pennies to waste. Not even two,
It's more expensive because of (a) twice the packaging (b) it's fresher hence higher quality.
Have you tried Tesco Direct for this?
Never buy half of any thing generally they are the better end of some thing that has gone bad or been damaged
WOW, what a saving!
so this is how gravity works.....interesting....

yeah and some cucumbers are all soggy at one end, hazardous buying them. But a hot deal if you can find two long halves
