I tried booking for Christmas, but got the normal fare.

It's been a while since they did this. But normally it's for the next three months. Haven't tried myself yet though.

Nope I can't purchase tickets as my station doesn't do the ticket machines to collect the tickets and my postcode area is no good for them sending out tickets. I can only order when plenty of notice is given to get the tickets for delivery to my address by normal post.
Not sure if travel card works as there as been a way round it before unless they secured up on idea.

Yeh I'm wanting to travel this Saturday but my station as no fast pass machines.I have booked before online and had tickets sent to me in post.
They must got wise to people getting the discount plus their railcard on top,it was good while it lasted for previous bookings, can't have it all ways I guess.

I used this ticket collection machine service before dispite there being no ticket machine at my local train station, I just put the nearest station available (Chelmsford) - you'll be given a reference and then I collected my tickets from my nearest station (Ipswich) ticket office. You just need the reference and card you used to make the booking.

Yeh but now there doesn't seem to be any loophole on using a railcard now and they useless here when I making enquiries and I hate to think they couldn't give me the tickets by insisting I need the machine etc.I'm not in the mood for anything to go wrong at mo or arguing 4 that matter.
I'm probably just going order some tickets for my Mum as she uses no railcard and she has set days for coming over so I might aswell order 3 mths worth for her and cos I'll give a weeks notice they can be sent in post.I've ordered 1 day and received the next day but I don't think they taking any chances cos of the mail so again this mail strikes messes another thing up for people.
#14
is there a minimum purchase for this? because the 50% discount does not seem to show up in step 6 for a 10 quid ticket.
#15
The discount didnt show up from Peterborough to Kings Cross either.
#16
Ok so it works, however the 'Go to deal' button sends you to the wrong page.

You need to copy and paste the link at the bottom of the first post.

You'll know it's okay when you answer the question about which service you would have used first, before you can buy tickets at 50% off.

I've tried to change link,it might work now  if not i have added link into original post,as Patmoore has said...

I've tried to get tickets using the railcard discount, and it works right up until you try and process payment. When I click "Buy Tickets", it just says "Unable to process at this time". I tried 3 different cards to no avail, and I buy train tickets regularly using them so I know they work on this site!

Shame - did anyone else have the same experience?
#19
All works fine, 50% comes off, then won't accept any of my cards - just says unable to process at this time...ahh!!

Anyone else having this problem??
#20
Yes snap! you beat me to it!
#21
Haha, oh well at least it isn't just me! Real shame as I travel Darlington-Leeds 3 days a week and this really helped me the last time it was on...
#22
Can I pick this train up from any station on that route, or do you have to board at Glasgow?

#28
Scotrail have advised that due to high demand, the website is suffering from cogestion and is unable to process CC bookings. She advised to wait an hour and try again, by which time your tickets might be gone. Oh well

Just phoned scot rail they said"offer removed due to non subscribers using"Any train fares booked will be cancelled and will have to be rebooked at full price this promotion was for limited number of people who received email from scot rail directly.
#30
Oh well....it's expired.....:-(
#31
Having the same problem here too even without trying to fiddle the railway discount.. grr!
#32
Why don't they just update their shoddy system then if they don't want other people to book tickets, they didn't seem to care 3 times previously when I've booked discounted tickets. Haven't been any for a while though so maybe they got told off.
#33
yep, 'unable to process at this time...' keeps coming up when making payment
#34
Shame,I was just getting round to ordering 3 mths worth for my Mum as she visits me twice a week,Its tiem consuming working out the dates she comes over but I was dealing with housework and hanging out washing etc so was going do it once I got kids settled in from school.
