Audible.co.uk will give you an Amazon.co.uk promotional claim code good for £50 off the purchase of select electronic devices when you join the AudibleListener® plan for 12 months at £7.99 per month. If the product you choose is less than £50, you will receive the device for free. Use your promotional claim code toward the purchase of products sold by Amazon.co.uk at http://www.amazon.co.uk, while supplies last. This offer does not apply to products sold on (a) the http://www.amazon.co.uk site by third-party merchants or (b) any other Amazon-owned, Amazon-operated, Amazon-branded, or Amazon-affiliated site.

My apologies for any offence caused will not be posting again.

So you give them £96 for them to give you a £50 voucher and 12 audio books over a year.

Sorry but cold from me.

Good deal if you're looking to sign up to Audible

Otherwise, it's poor

If your in the market for an Apple iPod touch 32GB for example instead of paying £229 you pay £179 up front and it works out to £225 with a years free audiobooks.
And by all means vote cold but with a little less hostility if you don't mind.

Math fail.
£229 for the ipod + 12*£7.99 = £323, not 225? Not free audiobooks at all.

How do you work that out? It's £7.99 every month for 12 months????

pay £96 to join a cr*p audiobook site to get a £50 voucher with very limited use?
no thanks

I have to disagree. Audible is an excellent site with a superb selection. If you're against DRM the I'd wish you luck in finding anywhere near as decent a selection of audiobooks.

The £7.99 will get you a book a month, however if you sign up for the free trial at http://www.audible.co.uk/newyear you can get 2 free books (if you sign up for the £14.99 option).
If you then cancel you will get offered a £5 voucher to stay, refuse that and you will be offered the £50 voucher. You can then downgrade to the £7.99 plan. With £7 Quidco the outlay becomes £39 for 14 books. Of course it only works if you wanted to buy a new player in the first place.

"cr*p audiobook site"???????

Anyone with even the slightest knowledge of the subject would know Audible is one of, if not the best online audiobook seller. Great products and great company.
