Good deal if you spend £50 normally anyway.

Poor deal for me personally as it's 117.9 @ my local sainsburys so only 112.9 with 5p off. I'm better off just going to asda & paying 111.9. Come on sainsburys lower your prices :(

Feed up of these petrol deals! It is not a deal we are being ripped off paying far too much TAX to subsidize a corrupt government (no matter how is in power before we have the party political comments) they waste the tax the get from the motorist (road fund tax, fuel tax, speeding fines, insurance tax)

Cheers for that nicster.

How big an issue is the quality of the fuel? The reason I ask is that only yesterday a friend brought her car, a 2004 VW Golf 1.4 to a mechanic complaining that the engine kept cutting out and he knew without asking that she bought her petrol in either Tesco or Sainsbury...

a mechanic told me its fine to use it you will get less power and you should clear things out by filling up with the premium stuff like BP ultimate once a month.

Meh doesn't bother me I run mine on used veg oil that I collect for free from various cafes. lol What gets me is used veg oil after being filtered actually CLEANS the engine, tank, injectors etc from the crud that builds up running on diesel!!

Let's say my fuel costs £1.15 a litre, I spend £50 at Sainsburys and then another £50 on fuel.
£50 will get me 43 litres (just over) saving me £2.15, not even 2 litres worth. So that's just over 2% saving, overall.

Not a great deal really, Asda's much cheaper for food and fuel.

Depends what supermarkets are in your area and how far you have to travel to get to them!

There's no consistency. My nearest Sainsbury is the cheapest one within a 10 miles radius...unfortunately it's around 5 miles from me. The Tesco around the corner from me is at least 5 to 7p more per litre.
