Anyon know if the Silentnight Rutherford PT Memory Kingsize Divan - 4 Drw would be worth the xtra £100?

Tried to order and can't, my house name is All Saints Lodge, the form online only allows me to enter up to All Saints Lodg , i.e. missing the e and so it keeps rejecting my card. What a load of ****

Mattress:
Firm feel.
15.25 gauge continuous sprung mattress with 672 springs.
Memory foam layer with micro quilt knit cover.
No roll together.
Mattress depth 26.5cm.
Easy care no turn mattress.

No roll together? No fun!

I assume the memory foam thickness will be the minimum 5cm unless andybody knows better.

Finally got it to work, had to use a different card and different types of address combos but I got there, phew. Thanks OP, been needing a new bed for a while.

Great deal. I ordered the double rather than the king size it came to a tad over 350 smackers.

Beds are a bargain hunters nightmare. The manufacturers often make a bed especially for a retailer so it is impossible to compare like with like. Be very careful because all big bed retailers seem to make up an rrp and then look as though they are giving massive discounts.

Very true. I don't think the beds are really different though: they just have a different label with a different name on to make comparisons difficult. The EU should investigate this. :{

Anyone have experience of these over time? have heard bad things about Silentnight not lasting.
#19
This is not as good as its supposed reduction. That RRP is HUGELY inflated. Save 66%? Rubbish. Go to costco and you'll get a similar bed for this price the whole year round. Elsewhere won't be that much more. Usual mediocre Argos deals.

Silnetnight memory foam beds are a load of poo. We are on our 2nd in 3years, although they come with a warranty of 5 years this is tiered for 'wear' and so you still have to pay a contribution if anything goes wrong. Both beds were really comfy from the outset, but within 18 months there are huge dips in the mattress and you can feel the spring, I take it that the memory foam is not very thick for this to occur. I shall never buy another silent night bed. Does anyone know if a complete memory foam mattress is better than one with springs and only a coating of foam on the top?

Costco is an exclusive wholesale cash and carry membership warehouse club and is not open to the general public. Membership is required.

No good for the majority then

Costco's membership policy however is very easy to pass.

1 of the 2 neccesary forms of identifcation is a business letterhead, I was an agency driver at the time but they paid me through a Ltd company I had set up.

So I just slapped a picture of a truck on the top of the paper, wrote my ltd companys name underneath it - done.

Not like they wanted a company registration number or anything.

Hope this/a similar deal is around when I get round to moving house.

£1209 my ar8e and they get away with it because it says this at the bottom

Additional Information
* Please note item 6596374 has previously been on sale at £604.99.

So they double the price and then take loads off

Yeah its just like all those furniture stores, always having HUGE sales and MASSIVE discounts.

Which basically brings stuff down to a "reasonable" price.

I feel sorry for the minority that buy on those odd days between sales and pay twice the price!

The more springs it has the less chance of 'dips'. The memory foam is an extra layer above a top layer which then has the springs underneath. Silentnight beds are guaranteed for 5 years but should last well beyond that. Like i say, go for a higher spring count.

I have had a couple of Silentnight matresses over the past 6 years. They were both fine when new but did not last. My comments do not relate to the memory foam mattresses as I have no personal experience of them, but reading the forums of a popular money saving website suggests the whole range is bad.

SilentNight also use lots of brand names like Sealy, Pockets Spring Bed Company and Rest Assured. I can only imagine these names help attract customers who know about silentnight's bad reputation.

My next bed is going to be £350 more expensive than this and I'm hoping it'll still be confortable in six, eight and even ten years time.

I bought this and have had an email from quidco showing it track at £29.04. This will bring the total bed cost to £391.30. Honestly couldn't be happier.

As for Billco's comments, the Argos page says this has previously been advertised at £604.99 so I feel this is a genuine reduction.

Ordered one myself... Sick and tired of spending less on inferior quality. Most definitely HOT!
