Do you know what prices the phones are?

40% off a Pulse? Bargain! I bought one at much more than the £89.99 price it'll be for the duration of this deal (notwithstanding the compulsory £10 top up) assuming my maths is correct.

A brilliant way into the Android Market where you can be a part of the "there's an app for that" mob without having to pay a hefty price for a "fruity-themed device".

With Email, Beeb Player, YouTube and the rest of the Internet, Google Maps, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, compass, large capacitative touch screen, you'll not want for much. Save the camera which like most phones without a flash is poor - OK outdoors when it's bright and sunny, but a no go the rest of the time.

But, I love my Pulse and at this price, I reckon I should really be buying another as a backup - or I might give it to my o.h.! :w00t:

Amibees - is this just a shop offer or is it available through shop and the internet do you know, please?

All old models? Some of us are on a budget, which is why we're here?

Huawei, the manufacturers of the Pulse, are to be releasing Android Ver2.1 hopefully very soon (pre-May 2010), so this will be effectively new once we can port it to the handset. (Source: android.modaco.com)

Its up to 40% if im correct so i really doubt that it will be the full 40% of the pulse.

Couldn't agree more! Some are fashion slaves with their phones though. :whistling: But then I bought mine not for making calls and texting, but for surfing and receiving HUKD alerts. :-D

(I use the work phone when I need to contact folks....)

its a great deal.

if I remember correctly, last time when T-mobile did this deal, I got Tocco Lite for £55 with topup and quidco paid £15.

now lacking quidco though. pity :?
#11
btw. Any proof of this deal OP?
#12
no quidco anymore on PAYG phones?

what does"TV" entertainment means on this phone mentioned on t-Mobiles website (I am talking about the PULSE)? Has the Pulse got built in TV or TV-out?

can anyone confirm whether or not the PULSE has CAPACITIVE screen, and Digital compass?

thanks
#13
Will check back tomorrow pulse looks good

Yes for Capacitive and Compass.

It doesn't gave a TV tuner, but you can get an unofficial BBC iplayer app, which gives you access to shows, plus the ability to stream live BBC Programs

Don't forget to add £10 for compulsary top up:?
#16
Don't forget that it is UP TO 40%
#17
Wonder if the reason TCB and Quidco have dropped T-Mobile PAYG is because of this impending offer. Maybe they will be back tomorrow after the deal closes?
Still worth clicking though to TM on TCB.Quidco just in case it pays up still ;-)
In there for a Pulse if its the full 40% off
#18
I have the TMobile Pulse, but no matter what settings i use i cant send mms messages on 3 network. Anyone had any luck?
#19
10-01 and no sign of any deals
banned#20
no discount at all right now
#21
Yep, no deals when I try and look too. I was after the Pulse if it's under a ton ...
#22
pitiful...2 phones with 20 quid off
#23
Just spoke to someone on online chat:

ME: I heard rumors that there is a upto 40% sale on some phones today, can you confirm or deny that?
Kevin: all the prices already have the 40% discount

So it's either they don't know what they're talking about or is it's a rubbish offer
#24
did see nokia 1680 for 14.99 and the pulse for 130 for a few mins .. but they have taken the pages down again.
#25
Well, I only find that the following are reduced:

T-Mobile E100 Flip Black Was £24.99 now £19.99
Sony Ericsson W395 Special Edition Was £69.99 now £49.99
Nokia 6303 Was £99.99 now £79.99

None of them are 40% off. Seems T-Mobile may have been fibbing:?

The 40% must be referring to the really cheap phones, where every pound disount is like 10%
#28
So the Pulse is £129.99 plus £10 top up today until 10PM. Pretty much what I paid for it before Christmas, so whilst I've considered your proposal T-Mobile, I'm out.

So they jack the price up to £149.99 and then "discount" it to £129.99? Pfffft. Stil a great phone though, but not quite the deal I had hoped for.

:x
#29
Really disappointing.

They have the Nokia 5800 under those deals listed at £189.99 :w00t: (this was £99.99 in their december offer)

I'm getting nowhere with their agents on live chat:

Thank you for choosing T-Mobile. A T-Mobile Sales Adviser will be with you shortly.
You are now connected with Kevin.
ME: Hi
Kevin: Hi there, my name is Kevin. I am part of the dedicated T-Mobile Online Sales Team. May I ask if you are enquiring about a new contract or an upgrade today?
Kevin: Hello new contract?
ME: new phone
Kevin: May I ask if you are over 18?
ME: I heard rumors that there is a upto 40% sale on some phones today, can you confirm or deny that?
Kevin: all the prices already have the 40% dicount
Kevin: this is online only offers
Kevin: Just to let you know that due to security reasons we do not currently accept Solo cards as an online form of payment - do you have another credit or debit card that you can use?
ME: yes
Kevin: perfect
Kevin: is there a phone that you will like to order?
ME: pulse
ME: but I was hoping it would cheaper in the sale today
Kevin: perfect will you like to view and order this product?
Kevin: this is the discounted price and we give you 6 month's free internet
ME: ok
ME: i've already got that page open in my browser
Kevin: Would you like to get the order process started with me today?
ME: are there any other mobiles which have got special offer ons?
Kevin: all pay as you go phones are reduced and most of them have 6 moth's free internet
Kevin: do you have a budget?
ME: i've just gone onto http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/deal-of-the-day/ and the t mobile pulse comes up as £129, yet when I click the link it still shows the full price
Kevin: that is the wrong price on that link Robert it needs to say £149
ME: It states£129.99 was £149.99
Kevin: yes it needs to state £149.99
Kevin: not £129 that is being corrected at the moment
ME: are you sure, because the other offer of the Nokia 1680 shows £14.99, but when clicked on goes back upto £24.99
Kevin: yes i am sure some prices are incorrect on the deal of the day page and once you click on it it comes with the normal price
ME: so are there any phones which have the 40% off?
Kevin: as i said all prices online have the 40% reduced rate already added
ME: but the price of the pulse has been around that price for a while and was even £137 in December
ME: so £149.99 seems like a price rise to me
Kevin: yuo are incorrect this is the discounted price
Kevin: *you
#31
Yep, me too. Was hoping for a Pulse under £100. Ah well, put it towards a Desire in a month or too ...
#32

his information came from a buy.at affiliates newletter. Its the same text.

TCB now offering £5 cashback on PAYG handsets...

(seems a far cry from the £15 in Dec though which made the Pulse about £95)
#36
waste of time

I waited to vote, and I'm glad, because this is clearly a COLD deal.

OP should have said what their source of info was as it comes across as being an employee wanting to drum up interest!
#38
I voted hot yesterday evening, expecting some really good deals, sorry I did now.....

i know he is a MOD and clearly self promoting isnt allowed, but still this is a cold deal really, in fact it stinks

only phone there worth buying is the Pulse

Just to clarify to OP, I'm not accusing them, just saying it comes across like that! The OP posts lots of very good deals on here.
