you'll have to wait two months for it tho and not likely to be that cheap as a collection for the first few months, this is a good deal if you want to see more the story so far and should give very good resale value

hostel was good, but saw films win hands down.. there is an element of intelligence in these films, theyre not jst a bog standard fill your pants horror film.

Saw 5 comes out n the 20th of this month doesnt it?
#9
May wait when all 6 films come out on DVD, Yes there is going to be a 6th film

Aye, Saw VI comes out at the flicks in October...
There's a new Saw the week before Hallowe'en every year since 2004, and the sixth looks to have started production. I've heard no indications that it'll be the last one, though.

Tis one of those series where I'd personally not been keen to buy a box set of the films because they'll always be incomplete a few months later, but if you're not too bothered about always having complete sets then this is a great price for some very good films.

As Piggyot306 said, these are a lot cleverer, with some great twists etc. - and some wonderfully (gory) intricate traps.
As far as the gore goes, though, the Saw and Hostel films are of a similar ilk.
So if you didn't like the Hostel films because the story was poor then try these. But if you didn't like Hostel because you found it all too gruesome then you should definitely avoid the Saw films! ;-)

I've not seen any of them but seen both of the Hostel films and loved them. Think I will buy this and give them a gore. What's this about a freak pig head mask?? Lol, my mate craps himself everytime its mentioned.

the "Gorology" (5 disc box set) is about £32.99.
http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/LGD94118.htm and is out on 9th March.

I'm very tempted by this, but think I'll buy them seperately because I don't want a half complete boxset, I'm petty about things like this though!

i think theres supposed to be 8 of these films being made
i agree about the intelligence, took some serious planning and thinking to make these films which is why i think theyre far better than your average gorefest movie
and theyre loads better than hostel, easily

They had decided, while doing saw 3, they would do it up to 6 films.

Yep, from Wikipedia

Wikipedia;
Tobin Bell has stated that he was signed on for a total of five sequels, and producer Oren Koules confirmed on June 22, 2007 that VI was being written at the time. The authors of the scripts include Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, as well as Thomas Fenton. Costas Mandylor has signed up for the next installment in the horror franchise along with main character, Jigsaw, portrayed by Tobin Bell. Saw VI will be directed by Kevin Greutert, the editor on all the Saw films to date., and will be released on October 23rd, 2009.

that doesnt mean they will stop at the 6th one, just that they were on making the 6th at that time. tobin bell may not be in the 7th and 8th

good point, but after seeing Saw 5, i think 6 is probably enough. Can't see there is much left (story wise) to make a 7 or 8.

this is one of those films where the latest is better than the one before. i cant see the story ending at 6, 7 or 8, its got alot more life in it, its not your typical slash and stab horror, its one of those movies that will keep evolving and changing, without being predictable like many other films that try it.
