The link goes to AA rechargeable batteries.

Here is the correct link: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=229284

And here is a review: http://www.digitalreviews.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=581&Itemid=67

Handy if like me your built-in satnav does not support safety camera info.

They have 4 down Tottenham Court Road, maybe I'll pop down, or I could stop speeding before anyone comes up with that one!

Actually i didn't put the deal up because it was already posted, and as it was only posted just over a week ago i thought that a simple post about the price reduction on the OP's thread would suffice.
But if you're that desperate for heat that you have to copy others information, then be my guest.

dont be pathetic!

The original deal will still show as £24.99 as people wont spot your comment. The rule for price changes is that the original deal is expired and then re-posted

Couldnt give a toss about heat. just trying to help others spot this bargain which is more than can be said for you lol :whistling:

That's how they catch you out now. There was a van parked on a bridge over the M40 yesterday, with camera's pointed at both North and South carriageways.

Can't see where there is a chance to get free updates for life.Any clues.

can't give heat to something that assists people in breaking the law

Surely this helps people to slow down and not break the law. It is harldly like people speed up when they hear the beeping for a speed camera.

Biker and CSI stop being so petty! It really doesn't matter, main thing is the deal is posted for people to see. For what it's worth I would not have known about or seen this without it being reposted at the newer price, so thanks.

Just to confirm, this doesn't do mobile speed camera does it? Am I right in saying they were made illegal a while back?

I would have thought that if people know where all the speed cameras are, then they will speed inbetween the cameras, whereas if they don't know they are likely to be more cautious all the time?

Maybe yes. Though as cameras should be placed at highly dangerous accident spots, getting people to slow down there has to be a good thing to save lives, and prevent injuries etc. Plus, less points on a license = cheaper insurance, another money saving tip.

Except most driving is on familiar routes. For 90% of my driving around where I live I know where all the cameras are.

Most people have figured out how they work and how to approach them without getting caught. They just don't work. They can't catch drunks and they can only deal with the simplest of offences. The poor old sucker that goes past momentarily at 35 gets done while the idiot who approaches at 60 in a 30, brakes for a couple of seconds to 30, then accelerates way doesn't get touched. Only real police can do anything about bad driving.

Went into the falkirk branch yesterday, they wouldn't budge on the £24.99 price.
They said it must be an online price?
It obviously is not.:x

I agree with that as most people do but the trouble is that they are usually put everywhere regardless of whether it has been an accident spot in the past. Most cameras are simply there to be another New Labour stealth tax on motorists.

has anyone brought this one? is it any good?
or you could buy a cheap sat nav with speed camera alert?
some cost little as £50 ish. could not say how good they are!
#22
i have a satnav with the speed camera alerts... sometimes it alerts when there's no camera there tho.. wierd!!!

but they are good.. and VERY audible lol

I thought that for a while too. With mine I figured out that it was alerting me to the camera on the other side of the road. Might be the same with yours??
#24
nah - well yes it does do that but it also does it when there's no camera around at all... still not complaining..

Near traffic lights? Red light cameras fall under the category of 'safety cameras'

Grow up and buy a car.... its much more fun than hugging trees!!!!

These cams are there to raise money PERIOD!!! Speed limits were set in the dark ages, before disc brakes etc and stopping distances are now much MUCH less than they were back then yet the limits still apply?!?!? Many modern cars are not set up to do 30mph (becasue most countries where they are made use KPH) and can often labour in 4th and rev high in 3rd.... this hurts your beloved trees you know :whistling: I could easily be going down a straight, wide road where NO accident have ever happened yet exceed a 40mph limit by say 5mph and get a ticket!! Ridiculous!!!

Yeah...like brakes! I mean, they help you slow down when you approach speed traps!
#35
(mobile safety camera locations are not included) :?

so a bit pointless then, as , most known fixed locations are SO obvious as a deterrent in most areas where it's needed .

At 4am on the M25 doing 80+ it's a damn sight safer than doing 33 mph past a school at 3.15 pm ;-) . Sadly there is no differential :?

Bet you don't pay for the school one ( bar a childs life or 2 ! ) whereas....the M25 will get you 6 points

I had a sat nav and it alerted you when you approached the location of a mobile trap. It didn't distinguish between mobile and fixed traps.
