These were always expensive when I was a kid, I would have thought as time went buy they would have become affordable but clearly not.

What makes this worth £350?
it's the new digital stuff not the normal ones
If your really into Saclextric this is a good bundle, cars rrp at around £25 plus.

You can change lanes, and from what I understand, they cars can run by them-self, so ideal for single children like I was. Saying that, I solved my lonesome racing with an elastic band and rubber, didn't provide the most competitive races, but you could time crashes well on the x piece!

Scalextric Board Meeting

Director:"I need a new Ferrari, so how do we get more cash in quickly?"
Minion: "Errr, will I get a Xmas bonus if I tell you"
Director: "You can use my Ferrari on weekends if it works, but remember we have to stick to the corporate value of Scalextric and not change things too much"
Minion: "How about we add an LED lap counter as opposed to the old analogue effort"
Director: "But that will cost us an extra £3.50 in production costs, this is scandalous"
Minion: "But Mr Ecclestone, why don't we add the words "DIGITAL" to the front in FONT Silver Bullet Size 69 and jack the price up 300%, then the punters will flock to this like a flies to a freshly dumped cow dung???"
Director: "Make it so, your Xmas bonus, and my Ferrari depends on this coming to fruition"
This does seem good value if you add up all the bits individually on the Scalexctric website

6 x hand controllers £14.49 each
