I've only ever had one cashback deal from them which went fine but thanks for the feedback - I will proceed with caution.

Scancom = SCAM-CON!!!!

That made me laugh !! Nice name

Thanks for those details about them.
LOL......that surely made me laugh.

Huh :?

Never heard or read about this earlier

It was in 2003 mate... I even ended up getting trading standards on them and they ignored all correspondence. Was going to take them to small claims court but would have been too much time and effort so just got Mastercard to refund me. I was lucky, if I had paid by debit card I would have been screwed.

Would NEVER shop there again.
WARNING!!!! Have been ripped off by these in the past.............. would steer well clear or you'll regret it......

Scancom = SCAM-CON!!!!

LOL......that surely made me laugh.
Never heard or read about this earlier

go to and get it directly from T-mobile with £35.00 cashback.

There is no guarantee of quidco payment and besides you get it approx 3 months down the line. Here you get it upfront in the first bill which is better IMO

Orange are a bunch of thieving BAS***DS they have the worst customer service (based in god know what part of the world)

Never AGAIN.......
Be warned orange = the DEVIL

hi i agrea i asked for my pac code from orange they cancelled my sim card and wiped my acount of there computor .when i rang customer services what a tail they told me said it would take about 4 weeks to sort out. customer services based in india.
Unlimited =5gbp? also upto 3.6mbps. I tested a friends mobile broadband a little while back and it was just under twice the speed of dial-up. Unsure if here laptop was gampering performance though, as you have to run software to go online and forgot to check resource monitor (wouldn't think it would stress even a celeron much?)
Not that great a deal tbh, it's £10 exc VAT from Orange Direct on a 24 month so your saving uner £2 and not sure if you have delivery on top at Scancom.

The correct link to the business plans
In what sort of world does "Unlimited" mean 3.6Gb a month!!!!! I DL that much while blinking!!, was going to be hot but sadly not now...

The fair use is 5GB the speed is 3.6mbps

BlackBerry 8100 700 mins Unlimited text & Email £9.99 per month

This does indeed look like a fab deal. However, be aware that this phone has pretty awful reviews with many of them breaking and it is out of date now with only a 1.3MP camera. Also be aware that it says free e-mail - so I assume that it will cost to actually surf the internet, only e-mail is free.

£15 a month for the minutes and texts alone is a good deal though!!
Anyone signed up?!
Have a look at a video review of the phone. Doesn't sound all that.... it's been replaced by the 8110. But for the prices the deal is not bad. Phone costs around £160 on it's own!!!
True, looks like the OP didn't have the full details, but isn't this still pretty good for the calls, unlimited text and email, even if the phone isn't that new? It's the kind of deal I'm looking for, so if anyone can suggest anything better....

looks like auto credit on the account. Does that mean that only the £15.58 will be coming out each month, once it's applied?

Anyone had any dealings with this company?

Also took me a while to get site to load, but appears working now....

It is out of stock on their website. :( But they do similar receiver for almost the same money.

I did some more experiments - it works OK with Microsoft Autoroute (my laptop got Bluetooth built-in). Re-acquisition time is fast - less than 10 seconds.

UPD: Tried it in my car. It works without any issues from glovebox. The "signal strength" indicator drop one line, but it still can get 9 satellites while sitting in locked glovebox. Not bad at all.
Finally got this thingy. It came in blue box proudly stating "Maid (sic!) in Taiwain". Not sure of what said girl is doing in Taiwan but there were no signs of female hiding inside of the box.
It (GPS, not maid) came with power adaptors (normal one + car), plastic non-slip mat, battery and user guide written by someone whose command of English is worse than mine (much worse, to be honest!). The device itself is quite small and seem to be well made (for the money, that's it).
It paired with my MDA Vario without any problems and TomTom software was able to communicate with it. It took about 3 minutes to acquire 8 satellites (my Blaupunkt GPS in car found 9). It even works inside of bulding if I place it next to window.
which software would work with nokia 6630? also where can i get them?

I have TomTom on my 6630. Brilliant. I got my software from a large computer fair... but there are other sources.

I bought a Holux 236 Sirf III GPS from Hong Kong (Ebay) for £43 including delivery to go with it... I know it was a bit of a risk in case it goes wrong or if I got hit for import duty... but all was fine. Even gets a fix indoors. Better than the old BT-77 I had. Uses the same battery as the 6630 too.
I believe there are several packages that should work on Symbian: Route 66, TomTom, Navicore.
