SCARFACE is Brian De Palma's blood-and-sun-drenched saga of a Cuban deportee's rise to the top of Miami's cocaine business. Al Pacino stars as Tony Montana, whose intelligence, guts, and ambition help him skyrocket from dishwasher to the top of a criminal empire but whose eventual paranoia and incestuous desire for his kid sister (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) prove his undoing.

In TAXI DRIVER, Robert De Niro stars as a Vietnam veteran who drives a taxi on night shift. Witnessing the violent life all around him he decides to clean up the town on his way.

CASINO is the story of a Jewish front man for the Las Vegas Mob and his wife who jinxes the operation.

DONNIE BRASCO is the true story of an FBI undercover agent who has to infiltrate one of the mob families. As he moves deeper into the Mafia chain of command he realises he is crossing the line towards becoming a criminal himself.

In LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS, a bunch of relatively innocent lads get involved with some violent, gun-toting gangsters over a game of cards. The result is endless mayhem which is both hilarious and violent.

Lock Stock was very good, but definitely not a gangster film.
Taxi Driver and Donnie Brasco are the pick for me out of this set.
My view on Scarface can be seen on one of my previous posts:

Donnie Brasco!! - This is an excellent film - based on a true story of Joseph D. Pistone, Depp plays the character extremely well and to date this has to be one or Pacino's best with less emphasis on dramatics by raising his voice
Agreed take out Lock Stock ad replace it with Carlitos way, another mesmerising performance by Al Pacino.
I do not hate.Scarface its enetertaining but not the best gangster film as many believe, swearing and violence dioes not always make a great film which this is renowned, but this film does not age well as The Godfather or Goodfellas or even Cagneys Angels with Dirty Faces (1938).
