Pre-ordered the Solus version with them for £19.99 and they sent the controller version, that was 2 weeks ago now so if it is a mistake they arent in any hurry to fix it :D
#7
wierd when you buy it, it says your saving 19.99 rather then a £5, just brought mine
#8
this could be the right price as on the checkout screen it says £39.99 save £20 = £19.99
#9
I have removed the misprice tag from the title.
#10
Ordered! Thanks!
#11
can you use normal controllers to play the game?
#12
Been wondering about getting something like this for Christmas. A couple of questions if I may please.

1. My kids are 10, 12, 14 and 16, they like films, do you think this will be suitable for them?
2. What are the differences between the ones of the Game website, they all seem to say the same thing?

Thanks in advance for your help.
#13
Ordered a copy. If I don't get on CEX take them for £17...
#14
I think you can use normal controllers, but you get them included in this price anyway.

1. Kids that age should love it.
2. There are 3 versions of this on there website (I think) there is this one which is the new one with controllers, then there is another version the same but without controllers (Which is more money for some reason) and then there is the first version about a year old "Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action" I would say this one is good for slightly older people as the films span a longer period, the new ones are more modern films that include things like the new indiana jones and Wall-E films.

I am 30 and have play the original with people aged between 11 through to 64 who loved it, and soon I will try gain with this new one :)

Nope that helps.

P.S. If you fancy the Original one it is £14.99 at Argos and all the original ones comes with controllers (thats why they do this new one without them as well as with them)

Hope that helps :)

You cant play this without the buzzers, I think its due to the quickest to the buzzer questions that its the infra red adapter that plugs into the USB to work
#17
different version at argos though £14.99 with 4 controllers if you can find stock like chuckles said

You can use normal Xbox 360 controllers instead of the buzzers, you use the D-Pad in place of the big buzzer. Just for those who do not end up with the buzzer pack.
#20
I've got the original one and it's great fun!
#21

^ incorrect ^

you CAN play this & 'Lights, Camera, Action' with just normal controllers.
d-pad is to buzz in & A,B,X,Y are to answer.

just like the original, this is an awesome game IMO, hope they keep making more

Isnt this one different in that you can go online with it? That was a big let down with the first one but it was still fun to play so this one should be even better especially if they do downloadable updates/ extra question packs! Thanks to OP great find!!

I tried with no luck, so why do you get the infra red adapter you have to use?

you need an infrared adapter because the big button controllers are not licenced to use Microsoft's proprietary w/less technology.
so instead of paying MS to use their tech, they have opted to just use infrared.

or maybe its just cheaper to manufacture an infrared controller rather than one with WiFi.

i'm guessing its the latter :)

Cheapest I have seen it for is £17.99 on Zavvi.co.uk, would rather pay the extra £2 and get backup controllers and infra red adapter.

My kids are 13 and 16. We all enjoyed the original and have played the demo of this and it is even better! My 13 year old wins occasionally but this is one where 50 years experience counts - ie any Fast Show "competitive dad" :whistling: can crush their offspring! (as opposed to all other 360 games where my son beats me!). Great for Christmas Day!
