Please someone put me straight if I am getting confused - which I may be.

Have just got back from Tesco and they have Schwartz herbs/spices refills that are around £1.28 each but are on offer as 3 for the price of 2.
Inside each refill box is a 50p voucher for some other pre-prepared stuff that Schwartz sell.

If I'm not getting confused, the vouchers inside can be used in Tesco for anything which would bring the unit price for 3 refills to around 35p(ish). 2 x 1.28 - 3x0.50. (you would obviously need to use the vouchers on your next shop, but it's all there.

This all hinges on whether you can use the vouchers even if you don't buy the items they are intended for. If you can't then please ignore :)

Are the boxes marked that there is a 50p coupon inside?
Yeah, a huge piccy plastered over the front - couldn't miss 'em.

BTW, it shows some of the boxes on the Tesco website which seems to suggest 20p - these are definitely 50p off ones and had it on every one I looked at.
I've had some of these for a couple of months and the expiry date on the coupons in mid 2010 so you don't have to rush to use them!
Good find. I also find my local Asian supermarkets very good for herbs and spices etc.
local Asian supermarket every time, 1/10th the price and 100 time the amount. Get yourself in there.
Schwartz herbs and spices are outrageously overpriced.
Have a look at the price comparison in tescos

Schwartz are 2 to 4 times the cost of Tescos own brands (dried chives are 5X the price!!)
Also note that sometimes Tescos jars are cheaper than the refills!
