Educating your kids (and possibly yourself) while having a bit of fun.

The Argos website incorrectly states that the balloon "magically" inflates! DOH!

In case anyone has any doubts it's not actually magic. It's heat absorption (from solar radiation) that warms the air inside the black balloon. This warmer air is less dense than the surrounding air and hence the balloon rises.

So that's a lesson in absorption of solar energy and relative densities, plus a fun hour or so in the park for your kids. But of course you could just let them watch telly and play on their playstations. ;-)

Since when was 8m described as giant?

OK. Come on. Own Up.
How many of you chaps looked at this for your OWN interest. You KNOW that you would like an excuse to try one out but are just that little too embarassed to admit it.

How great to see how high it'll go and thoughts of extending the 25 Mtr line are one of the first thoughts.

How about engineering a little parachute drop or perhaps getting a lightweight camera up there to take ariel photos of you home?

Us Big boys NEVER grow up, do we?

Definitely NOT for THREE year olds unless tethered and even then with strict ADULT supervision.

Oh, yeah. Final point. Don't worry about keeping yourself on the ground, it’ll take about 150-200 of these Solar Air ships to lift the average adult.

Reviews state its just like a giant binbag and is easily torn.

Please remember if you do use a bin bag to empty all the rubbish out first.we had a nasty incident with a policeman and a used nappy falling from a great height I cant say anymore as the case is ongoing.

good hour's worth of educational fun; so long as you don't let your kids see this pic as their imagination will run wild and it'll all end in disapointment! very easily torn, too.
