Thought I'd post this as these can be great stocking fillers and can keep the kids/grown ups entertained for a while.

These will keep the kids busy trying to figure out exactly how they work.

Some of the items included:
- The impossible balancer
- Sky tracer
- Science putty alien
- The amazing returning plane
- Mystery UFO
- Space ball
- Retro UFO flyer

Hope someone finds this deal helpful...

which branch and which section were they in as I'm pretty sure they're not in the toy section of my local store

This was in the superstore at Osmaston Road in Derby, I asked if it was nationwide and they said it was
Also, they were on a promotion shelf at the end of an isle

Saw these in epsom store too, great for the awkward to buy for men!
good find, thanks!
Its available in Sainsburys. I saw it a few days ago but didn't post it because it half price at Debenhams. I don't think these sell for RRP.
Some of these things are good fun but the impossible UFO is a complete pile of poo. My son bought one with his own money and was excited to see how it worked. It's really nasty, cheap rubbish and looks nothing like the box photo. Even £1.99 is too much.
wee pressie
Saw today in Whitechape, East London. In the gift aisle. Got one or two for the hubbys stocking fillers
Science rules!
shoe*gal - I've gotta agree with you, I felt ripped off when I opened that - I was expecting some science behind it, not thread!
As others have said, look at reviews before buying as some of these have nothing to do with science. They are just cheap tricks that wouldn't fool an infant.
will have a look might find a couple of bits for the kids thanks
The space ball looks pretty good. Just make sure to buy more than you need because the quality control on this science museum stuff is terrible and you don't wanna end up with a dud
