Apparently they're really good graphic novels, and the film seems to be equally highly rated. Where better to start than the first book?!

Now a major movie from Edgar Wright ('Hot Fuzz'/'Sean Of The Dead') starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Chris Evans! Scott Pilgrim's life is totally sweet. He's 23 years old, he's in a rock band, he's "between jobs," and he's dating a cute high school girl. Nothing could possibly go wrong, unless a seriously mind-blowing, dangerously fashionable, rollerblading delivery girl named Ramona Flowers starts cruising through his dreams and sailing by him at parties. Will Scott's awesome life get turned upside-down? Will he have to face Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends in battle? The short answer is yes. The long answer is Scott Pilgrim, Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life.

A great book and a steal at four quid. RRP = £7.99

The rest seem to be under a fiver too which is a pretty good price for them. Unique book, cool artwork and some of the lines the writer comes up with are great. Not sure the film will do them justice.

Forbidden Planet have signed copies of the sixth one at £5.99 (plus £2 delivery for £5-£10 spend). I ordered the sixth one before the first lol.

Great price but can't vote hot for this, compared to the Oni Press editions, these are trash. Paper quality isn't as good, additional parts of the comics are missing (character bios, guitar tabs, fan art, colour intro on vol 4) the cover art is awful in comparison to the originals and also, a big fat "now a major motion picture" sticker slapped on front that's hard to peel off without taking the cover with it.

If none of that bothers you and you just want to read the story, then get this by all means. Great price for a great comic.

how many books in the whole seris?

6 in total. Last one will still be pricey as it only came out a few weeks ago. Cracking price. A great read. A must for retro gaming fans.

The trailers for the film look incredibly like the pages of the book in parts so buy it NOW!
