Just checked the Xbox.com Forums:

If you mean the 2 year Xbox Live Gold promotion with free 2400 points. The points will be sent out during the first 2 weeks of December.

The other promotion was "Spend 2400 points on Add-ons/Arcade titles during October and recieve 800 points free". The 800 points should be sent out on or around 30th November.

it's not bad like the old school games like streets of rage a standard scrolling beat em up

castle crashers would be the closest resemblance in way of gameplay but it's got a very retro feel which is nice

for 400 points i'll definetly be getting it.

Bloody great game. A very stylised beat em up game, just like Streets of Rage!

No multiplayer over Xbox live, but you can still have 4 players on one screen - which makes for interesting gameplay. It's one of my favourite arcade purchases, ever.

Thanks OP. Game bought, heat added. :)

Had the demo on my 360 for a while now. Guess this is the time to actually give it a try. The movie looks quite promising.

Also, check out the film as soon as you can! My favourite film of the year. Just get prepared for an entirely different film experience :)

Looks like I'll be watching the movie AND playing the game tonight :D

Do you have to have a gold membership?

The original price plus this omission is why I don't intend buying it. It's quite difficult and boring without a second player.

Patch and Knives DLC (160) should be incoming tomorrow too. The patch fixes bugs and makes Average Joe a bit easier.

Protip: UPGRADE.

Give the demo a go first and see from there.

Personally I found it quite boring even though I'm into retro style games. Castle Crashers is much better imo.

Love this game.

I played this 1st and then watched the film, and found both to be loads of fun as there are quite a few references to the game.

Anyone got a flashed xbox and updated to the new Dashboard for Kinect, as i want this game but i take it i will have to update to the new Dashboard in order to get it.

Is it still broken? I can't finish the game because it randomly freezes. Not worth paying 400 for something you can't finish unless you're lucky.

I haven't updated yet, gonna wait for new FW.

fan of the comic, less so of the movie.

either way you don't need to know either to have fun with this, classic side scrolling beat-em-up that will take you back to streets of rage days especially after ninja'ing the coins or throwing your teammate at the enemy. can but hope it's reduced on PSN next month too to co-incide with the dvd release (was reduced to £8 last i checked).

At the price, I'll try the demo - thanks :)

Thought I'd be able to use a 48 hour trial code to get this deal but it seems those codes only give you Gold-level access to online multiplayer, not other Gold-only features such as Deal of the Week.... So just bought it for 800 as I was gonna anyway.....

What were the references exactly? Please don't say when you kill people you get coins. That's the film/comic referencing videos games in general, which in turns drives the game. Not the film referencing the game.
