The reviews say otherwise. How can you call something Original, but say it is refreshed, redesigned and improved?

Good price though.

Love Scrabble, love the price. Heat added.

When it comes to the cheap scrabble board's remember most of them are not 'raised' which makes playing practically impossible as the tiles just keep moving about, especially on the ones that dont have their own turn-table things.

Mum's a big scrabble fan and some of family chipping in to get her some ultimate deluxe thing. Think it's a custom board though as it's costing them about £70. The raised bits are a must on a scrabble board, especially if more than 2 of ya are playing.

Got it for double the price a few years ago & thought it was good.

Now one can also afford to buy a Scrabble dictionary (Collins 2006 - £3.49) to go with it! I've got it, & reckon it's very good for the price (again I probably paid double for it at the time).

Find me Super Scrabble (now £36-37) for half-price & I'll be well & truly over the moon.

I had the deluxe board for a while. That had the raised edges and we found it annoying.

If ever there was a board game that adapted itself to the computer, Scrabble is it.

No tiles falling off the board, no arguing about the score, no counting the score and no tidying up afterwards!

Man killed in argument during scrabble game

An argument during a game a scrabble led to the man being bashed at least 40 times with a baseball bat and stabbed five times in the back, a court has been told.

Brendon Tahau, 26, of Rotorua died after 10 violent minutes.

In the High Court at Rotorua a Rotorua pair admitted killing Tahu.

James Wharetakahia Hamiora, 22, unemployed, pleaded guilty to Mr Tahau's murder.

His associate Gabriel John Kingi, who turns 19 next week, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The court was told Mr Tahau had visited a friend on August 25 last year and they settled in for a night of scrabble.

Hamiora, Kingi and another man turned up at the house.

When Mr Tahau took exception to the way Hamiora was speaking to his friends, Hamiora held up a bullet and put a cigarette against it saying he was going to shoot a hole through the wall.

Mr Tahau told Hamiora not to disrespect his friend's house and the pair argued.

Hamiora got a silver aluminium baseball bat from his car and began bashing Mr Tahau. Kingi joined in, punching Mr Tahau.

A woman left the house to get help.

At one stage Hamiora was taken outside but he returned, continuing to assault Mr Tahau.

Mr Tahau tried to get away, screaming at them "what is the matter? What is your problem?"

At this stage Hamiora stabbed Mr Tahau in the back at least five times while Kingi continued to punch him and hit him with the bat.

Mr Tahau had numerous injuries to his head, body and limbs and died a short time later as a result of a stab wound to his left lung.

Justice John Hansen remanded the pair in custody for sentencing in the High Court at Rotorua on October 13.
