I bought a DS screen protector and soft case from these guys when I was ordering my R4 DS - delivery was pretty quick and I liked being able to pay through Paypal
The case is excellent, it took me a while to work out how to apply the protectors as there are no English instructions  They work fine - you can't really see they're there - but you seem to need a slight bit more pressure when writing.
#8
I got these with an R4 bundle pack as well.
They have application tabs on the screen protectors but if you follow the tab instructions you end up putting them on back to front.

Found that out the hard way and ended up with a sticky top surface on my touch screen covered with every dead & living thing floating around in my house:-D

Read the comments posted by other peeps first and you should be fine.

Don't you have to pay taxes as they ship from america.

Argh! Wish i'd thought to get this when I ordered R4DS.

Still, great deal, thanks.

Also ordered a soft case while I was there - only $2.50 :)
#12
Ordered some. Some interesting other stuff on the site
See how the screen protectors work out and I'll order other stuff

Not exactly related to this thread but I was wondering whether anyone has bought a screen protector for a sony ericsson P1? I tried one in a shop and for some reason my touch screen stopped working-the person had to refund me on the spot. Hence why am reluctant to buy one without any feedback.
thank you

This site is my new favourite site - just got my MP4 watch today. However, these screen protectors are completely useless! Seriously, you can get the proper Hori screen protectors from DealExtreme for about £3-4. These just don't work - they were even labelled the wrong way round!
#17
I have some not used yet - labelled "1 Please Peal off this mask AFTER application completed" and "2 Please peel of this mask BEFORE application".

So do you do 1 before 2, or BEFORE before AFTER?

BTW, I have bought some at the LED Shoppe as well, http://www.ledshoppe.com, who also have good prices and free postage. The ones I bought there were fine, and had correct instructions (of course, they may have change supplier since ...). Th link for the NDSL screen protectors are: http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ts/SP1011.htm.
#18
Mine were the wrong way round - the one that says 'after' was supposed to go on first.
#19
OK, thanks, so I do it in order 1 then 2.

The numbers are obviously round the wrong way from the text, and the people assembling them must of understood the numbers and not the English text.

Great deal, heat added, this site is brill, just ordered a few bits for my DS

Bargain price, but I wonder how good these protectors are since there are apparently quite a few cheaper ones that are pretty poor or can actually damage your DS touch-screen.

The one make that everyone in the know recommends is Hori.
There's a review of thier screen protectors here :

http://portablevideogamer.com/2007/06/ds-hardware-review-hori-screen-protectors/

Quote from the review : "After doing extensive research, we have found only one screen protector brand that we can safely trust; Hori. Every other brand we tried had some problem or deficiency"

Having just spent £100 on a DS that I'd like to keep in top condition, I decided I wasn't going to risk one of the cheaper ones and picked up the Hori one from HMV this afternoon.
It was £5.99. You can no doubt get it cheaper on-line, but it was the last one they had on the shelf though so I snapped it up to save messing about with on-line ordering just to save a pound or two.

Haven't fitted it yet though (not looking forward to that....)

i did a search for hori screen protectors on ebay and it brings up the same packing as the one in this post... Are these ones Hori ones? or are the ones on ebay have the wrong name?

You are right, I have checked the two and both pics are the same. I have to admit I never paid much attention to the packaging when mine arrived so I don't know if there was a difference.

To all moaning about it being confusing to apply, they are 64p!!
There are LOADS of posts on the deal extreme site from customers detailing how to do it.

Boo frickin' Hoo!!

There are apparently loads of fake Hori ones doing the rounds, especially on Ebay and from traders abroad.

I've just looked on the dealextreme site, and they do indeed have the genuine Hori ones here for $7.43 :

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5363

Despite seemingly having the same packaging, the 64p ones are knock-offs (as confirmed by someone in the comments section on that page).

64p is still a fantastic deal of course and hopefully they'll do the job just fine. It's just worth knowing that if (like me) you want the best quality, you might want to spend the extra £2.50 or so on the proper Hori ones.

I've now ordered a whole load of stuff from Deal extreme, and not had any customs charges. To be honest, they're one of the best shops I've dealt with, and seem to keep going back to them seeing what else I could buy!!

And with it being 2 dollars to a pound at the moment, they're even cheaper!

no customs charges, the stuff actually ships out of China or somewhere in the Far East but the are no charges.

I've ordered from them 4 times and everything has arrived well with out charges.

Any chance of correcting the link to site?

this link http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4086 is the correct one and I have tried to change with no joy.

Unlucky :-(. As rare as it is these days, Paypal seems best in this instance (certainly has been for me on my normal debit card)

How long roughly does it take for items to arrive? Looking to buy a few bits from there myself :-D
