Got a cold reception when I posted the deal when it was reduced from £47 to £27 last year, but now almost half that price:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/screwpull-by-le-creuset-lever-model/563989

Yes you can get similiar for cheaper, but this is a Screwpull and I think it's a piece of quality kit for a great price. It's now down to the cheapest I've seen it from £49 to £15!

Many thanks for the heat, but already gone negative - I'm going to start posting only Apple deals! This deal is a great price though!

hot from me.....well done

I got one of these free years ago for taking a test drive in a car, I can't remember the make but only did it for the Screwpull corkscrew and it is superb and still going strong after at least 7 years of hard use so heat from me.
#5
Problem is that people are confusing this quality unit for the cheapie Chinese equivalents which can be bought for a fiver (then break within a week!)
#6
this should be hotter?
#7
voted hot and ordered 2 - this is a steal....this is proper good quality - my parents' one has lasted them for years, and is very easy to use

I have this one and its brilliant! I got a spare corkscrew with it but i havnt had to use it yet and i must have had it for over 5 years.

Used it over 100 times and not once has it failed me.
heat added.
#10

Hot! Got one as a gift and one for myself.
#12
Voted hot and ordered - thanks OP

Heat for a quality item, but I must admit I drink mostly new world wines now and they all have screw caps so I don't know if it is really worth my getting one. I have a waiter's friend which does the job fine if needed.
#14
I got one of these free from a wineclub with my first order - fell apart within a month.

I'm assuming that this one is better made?
#15
same here, good price but can't remember when I last had a bottle of wine with a cork or cork substitute.
#16
Just bought two!! Thanks, heat added.
#17

Out of stock now. Thanks again OP.
#23
Actually you can still order (2-5 weeks) but this sometimes does mean out of stock.
#24
great deal

Great Price and heat given but I have one of these and I have to say it never gets used because its so big it doesn't fit in my cutlery draw so has to go in a box ontop of the cubboards and also its nearly impossible to get the cork off the screw thread after so there is always one on there when you next come to use it. In short i use the one on my Utility Pocket Knife its much faster.

I want one of these. My parents have one and I used it at Christmas. Great quality and so easy to use. HOT. Gone up to £45 now :(

#28
Managed to get one at £15 earlier - brilliant - thanks.
#29
now £45 !
#30
No, it is £36 from Amazon currently ... blast I would have got it at £15.
#31
I've got one of these and it works brilliantly but few bottles have corks these days - screw cap is the way it's going and don't let the snobs tell you they aren't as good - they're better!

They are better in the sense they prevent any cork taint and excessive oxidation; but the negative is they don't let any oxygen in at all. It's still a controversial subject, particularly for wine you age.

Most supermarket white wine uses screw caps; but a significant amount of red is still corks.

With mine you sort of reverse the action and it pulls the cork off as easily as it pulls it from the bottle. The whole process takes about 3 seconds. I leave mine on the windowsill so its always ready when i need a drink. :p

Needs to be expired,,

I like my wine oxidized like a good Lafayette..

This looks like a clever, however my waiter friend swears the best bottle opener bar non is the traditional style we have all seen used in restaurants, called, ironically, "waiters friend".
