I don't agree. It's a classic (perhaps only appreciated by the collector).

A classic film, yes edited for TV and on last night but how I wish these establishments still existed so some of the turds that walk our streets could be a little bit scared of the system.

Super hot!!!!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Top notch movie. Very violent, but top notch.
The TV version features Frank Gallagher from Shameless in the role of Archer.

Hot vote from me.

Racist, brutal and even involves **** rape of young boys. :O

Saying that, it's a classic film that needs to be watched, as you couldn't make a film like this now.

The scene with the 'candy letter' is probably the most harrowing bit. Blunt and to the point.

Top viewing highly reccomended
Peter Francis is the guy whos says What F***** Tool ?

Well this movie asked a lot of questions about the runnibg of our Borstals
and was a reforming factor in the whole system
Sometimes you got to look warts and all at the reality thousands of young people faced
with Borstal and Y.C.

What are you talking about? That type of language was commonplace in 1979.
They don't 'make 'em like that' anymore because we don't live in 1979 anymore.
#32

You wouldn't see a film like this as a 'classic' era film if it came up and smacked you in the mouth with an iron bar.

Yeah it may be dated, but it addressed real issues in the real world for how it is rather than pussy pandering to a few PC perfection idealists who can't even park straight in a Tescos carpark.. caaant.

Pretty sure that this is available for free on one of these fill out a survey and get a free dvd sites... Cant remember what it was called though..

Save a quid ;)

Maybe the latest Pixar is more your thing.

The irony is this is far from dated in it's theme - it's never been more relevant.

Whole books have been written about this British classic, not least for it's seminal position in British censorship.

To now find this classic in such a collector's package for £1 is HOT!!!!!
