Panasonic do generally make the best bread makers. Bought a SD257 5 years ago, have never bought a loaf of bread since, it's on every 2/3 days.

Bought this machine yesterday from Costco for £115 delivered. £20 cheaper than John Lewis. Looking forward to my wife's results from using it.

Do they still leave a big hole in the bread like old school bread makers?

they all do apart from the kenwood ( older model ) ,where the blades fold flat just after the last knead & before the final "rise"

I wouldn't call the hole "big" but the best breadmaker by far!

The Finest of Bread Makers...and the Most adaptable Recipes...Love Tweaking the given Recipe Book

Don't use sugar... but a squeeze of Honey...better crust
Pizza bases are to die for...if you add.. flax seeds, Garlic Powder from Lidl, Herbs ;)

Thx OP

I am sorry you have been voted cold, unfortunately on HUKD it is very price driven, and quality does not count for much, a £40 machine would get high votes even though it would not be a patch on the Panasonic, purely because it is £40.

It was part of their Black Friday week offers. I rarely post Costco offers now as people complain about membership fees etc..
