The info is at the top, it links to it from the deal button but if it's not coming up for you then maybe your local Lidl isn't going to be doing it.

These lidl deals vary across different stores, no sds drill advertised for my local either.

Shame, as it's an excellent price.

Hi - I don't have this in my area either. The clue is in the link inserted in the OP's information and that link ends .ar3 . My Lidl links end .ar2 and so it looks like that is how we can tell the difference. Any more brilliant offers and we need to say which area we are in.

.ar1 is Sussex + Kent + Inner London areas which have the drill at £20

.ar2 is Berkshire + Surrey + Greater London areas and NO drill

.ar3 is Birmingham + Lincoln areas which have the drill at £20

.ar5 is Cardiff area and NO drill

.ar6 is Southampton + Plymouth areas which have the drill at £20

.ar7 is Liverpool + Manchester areas and NO drill

.ar10 is Durham + Carlisle + West Yorkshire areas and NO drill

.ar11 is Northern Ireland + Scotland and NO drill

There's a start, anyone care to add to the areas covered by the .ar codes?

AR3 is Birmingham eh, ok then. I'm in Bedford so not sure how that matches up with Birmingham.

Hi, the reason you are included, is that you are in the VERY broad band that seems to define each Lidl area. This seems to mean that there is a West to East band across England to include each of the areas mentioned.

You could also ask, quite reasonably, how come area 11 covers Northern Ireland and Scotland. I don't know the answer to that one but Lidl Logic says they do.

They look to be in my local, any thoughts as to whether they are worth the cash?

I have a no name drill already (12.2v) which does ok, but struggles a little now and then. Will this provide more power? Will the SDS aspect help?

Thanks

Big difference, this drill is mains powered for a start. SDS is totally different to a normal drill like you already have.

A normal hammer drill usually runs at about 3000 rpm and delivers about 40,000 blows a minute to the drill bit fixed in the chuck. An SDS drill runs much slower but has a pneumatic action to deliver the blows, at the rate of around 5,000 blows a minute. The pneumatic mechanism gives much more powerful blows and goes through hard material like a knife through butter. An SDS drill has snap in drill bits, no need for a chuck key. Also they are far quieter and far more efficient, less fatigue to the user. You do not need to apply as much pressure when using them. The professionals choice of drill.

I got the 5-in-1 Multi Detector £14.99 this morning. This is the first time I have every bought one of these and it seems a little hit and miss at picking up electrical cables in the wall. Is this the behaviour of most brands of these detectors or am I better off getting another brand? Thanks.

I missed out on the drill, was told they only had a few in and sold with an hour of opening up today, gutted.
#22
After waiting patiently for a week I Went to Lidl Skegness at opening today 8am,NO DRILLS available they said sold out.:x

another customer said they only had one drill and now sold ...I think its a scam!!! there wasnt even a price up on the boards lol

Went then to Mablethorpe 17 miles and got the same story...........

dont think myself the drills were on sale anyway, just a ruse to get people into store to buy other items.did you see anyone with a drill leaving the store?:)
#25
Same story at Three Bridges, Crawley. No price cards on display and assistants didn't know anything about it. Suspect it was never in stock, though billed as available from today. Is that fish that I can smell?
#26
According to customer services they only had a few throughout the country and have no stock now. He said they will come up again and next time will have loads.
#27
Can anyone who got this drill give a review please, im looking to buy one in this years promotions thanks
