Plus £0.98 delivery lol.

Not bad at all.

The clicking issue, and firmware on this model put me off completely.

Western digital Blue 1TB from Amazon £39.99 (not sure on delivery, as I had prime) looked more reliable.

£39.99 including free delivery here:

They seem to be around £40-£42 in a few places so not much of a deal really.

Box.co.uk: £39.99
Dabs: £40.97
BT Shop: £41.98
2 sellers on Amazon, fulfilled by Amazon: £41.90

"3.0TB drives are failing a lot more"

I called that... I have Max. 2TB drives.

I have 4 x 3TB Hitachis running 24/7 in my NAS, zero problems.... but that's because they are Hitachis :D

HGST is owned by WD which makes it a bit odd that their drives are more reliable.

The Backblaze link as much as its interesting, isn't in some ways worth looking at. Yes 38k of hdds is a good sample but not when some makes are down to 400 units .. They could be a good batch or a bad one.

HGST - Tesco's Finest
