I'm surprised you say that. Most people I talked to preferred Seagate drives and even in a recent survey I carried out, most people found Seagate to be the most reliable :-)

I agree to a point, seagate have been very reliable for us in the past so we tend not to try any other makes and stay with what we can trust. I couldn't really say which is better though, just that seagate are very reliable in my experience.

theres not much in it price wise but you do get a 5 year warranty on the seagate, and i think it was 3 yeras on samsung last time i checked, and i did hear 1 years on samsung on some models

Seagate hard drives have been consistently reliable as opposed to the other manufacturer referred to in this thread. This is a good price compared to the £100+ the Seagate 1tb drive was going for not long ago, for that reason this deal gets a hot vote from me.

i've been building systems for many years and would only use Seagate as there reliability is second to none

Yeah & Seagate ship with a five year warranty! I bought the Sammy 1TB drive which I understand ships with 1 yr? (OEM) but ive not fitted it yet, concerned at the reliabilty - would probably have gone for this as reliabilty is prob more imortant than a slight hike in performance!

Dont understand why this is getting voted cold? (Like so many other posts)
Glad Hotdeals are finally looking into monitoring users frequently making cold votes

Voted hot
