Hmm, checked yesterday and that was the price for the 1tb version.
Very good if that's the price in your local store.

Another big number for a regional deal!!!!

They weren't this price in the Redditch store yesterday - they were reduced by £5 or so from the usual price, but not clearance prices. Doesn't mean that they aren't today though!

Could do with one of these for my ps4, but I have a feeling this is a massive wild goose chase

Ignored the comments about geese and whether this was a national or regional deal and just took a drive down to my local. They had two 1TB empty boxes on the shelves, not what I wanted but they were £27.50 each when scanned, so I took the plunge. The sales assistant went to check stock in the back as they were showing 0 in stock. When she got back she didnt find any 1tb, but found one 2TB and one 4TB!!! Happy days, so a BIG FAT THANK-YOU to the OP!!!

You can open the drive and put it into the ps4 internally.
Then use the stock 500gb as am external unit.

I take that it's desktop sized, rather than a laptop (2.5") size?

Just as an edit to the info for Rugby branch. They are not kept on the shelves so don't bother looking, please go to the Pay Desk at the back of the store near the electricals and ask there for it as they kept getting stolen they keep them locked away. Got ours over an hour ago and they had 6 left. Good Luck.

The Seagate expansion is a 2.5" drive inside a usb 3.0 connector case.

Perfect fit for internal drive for ps4

Can anyone tell me what the 4tb one is. I cant see that they do it in portable hard drive is it a 3.5 drive?
#24
Store specific are irritating "offers" on the rare occasion it is local, it's normally bullsh** or a one-off
#25
The one in the picture looks like 2.5". Ensure you have 2 copies of your valuable daa because these have high failure rates.

Dunchurch road. They are kept in locked cabinet under the tablets.

Tried this last week when the previous post was out and my local wanted £120 for it! and that was the price on their system as well..

I saw these in the Hatchwarren store in Basingstoke - were there at 17:00 today. Only plastic boxes with the "take it to the till" tickets in them. No idea how many would be available - sorry

Got one earlier today in Swansea city centre store. One left on shelf after I took mine. Thanks OP.

I too popped into my local as I was already in town, I wasn't expecting to see any because all the other times I've been in looking for posted deals they never have the items or are at full price. This time I was surprised to see the tickets were showing with the discounted price but non on the shelf so I asked if they had any in stock, the nice young man came back a minute later with some hard drives.

It was my first wild goose I managed to get my hands on at Sainsbury's. It just goes to show that you will come across a deal eventually if you keep checking the stores. Like they say, you have to buy a ticket to have a chance of winning the lottery. My thanks to OP.

Nope, no sign that they sell hard drives at all just memory cards.

Same with me. But I asked, and sure enough, they had them.

I'm not surprised they don't sell if they're not on display. Not even any empty shelf space for them!
