True, WD are a much better choice, minimum 2 years warranty on Green/Blue, which you can extend to 3 for £10. WD blacks still have 5 year warranty. Plus WD's warranty/support is very good.

Warranty with Seagate is also good WD is over priced in my opinion.
Perhaps on the warranty, but the WD Caviar Greens are an epic fail on both price (more expensive than the Seagate) and performance (significantly slower than a Seagate - even worse than the 5400/7200 RPM ratio!). I have 7 Seagates and 1 WD Green (all 3TBs) and even though I got the WD at 114.99, I still think it's a much worse buy than the Seagate.
BTW, are WD Blacks even available in 3TB sizes? If not, I'm not sure what their relevance is here. Also, the Black 2TB is actually more expensive than this Seagate 3TB, so I dread to think what price any future Black 3TB would cost!
