I want to upgrade the internal hard drive in my laptop to 500GB and my wife wants an external USB powered drive around 250GB for her back ups. Mine current internal drive happens to be a 250GB so it occurs to me that I could buy this (decent price, thanks OP) then take the 500GB drive out to install in my computer and put my old 250GB in this enclosure for wifey to use. It seems sensible to me but please tell me if I am missing something important?!?
